Gamebreaking receiver’s are tough to find, but so essential.
I miss Desean Jackson.

Why did Fuller pull up - was that supposed to be cover 2?
not sure. Was he anticipating a different route? A 25 yard out route? At that depth, most receivers are continuing down the field- 1

Brian Robinson is a keeper

I hope EB does not return next season.
EB will not return next season. New GM, new coach, new staff.- 3

They're going to go for 77 points today, aren't they? 🫠
hopefully. This team has had its fair share of embarrassing losses. Why not add another one- 1
-
Yeah… do we score a single point today?
-
I knew defensively we were cooked, but I was hoping, offensively, we could produce something.
EB, should honestly just treat every offensive position like the score is 0-0.

This will a tough one to watch. One team so far ahead and successful than the other.
it’s going to get bad. After this 3 and out.
but yay, draft pick

Just wishing someone out there is better than Leno.
Me too. However, very unlikely. Good Left Tackles are very rare, which is why they're drafted so high, and highly valued.

huh? I’m talking about doing what everyone else does. A “qualified and coveted GM candidate” is what I said. That’s a current Assistant GM, a VP of Player Personnel, a Director of College Scouting. Whatever. Someone qualified and pedigreed who has spent time around the best GM’s and hasn’t yet had the chance to be the #1 in an organization. The same pool of guys every other team starting over every offseason interviews and looks to hire.
Yeah, you don’t always choose right. There is no such thing as a sure thing. I’m talking about just having a NORMAL interviewing and hiring process like other franchises. The teams that successfully turn it around and rebuild from futility into competitiveness, that’s what they do. That’s what we’ve never done in my lifetime.
I agree with the concept, in theory. However, most GM's hire coaches and people that they have a relationship with- despite how successful, those coaches and front office individuals have been. It also goes the other way: coaches hired at a new organization, often bring in people they're familiar with( despite the track record of said people). The takeaway? crapshoot.
I'm not convinced this "model" is really that successful. However, it is certainly worth a try, for the Commanders organization.
Our previous model's haven't worked, despite having HOF pedigree coaches(Gibbs, Shannahan) and young, talented coaches( Sean McVay, K Shannahan, Mike McDaniels, Matt Lefluer)
I know Snyder receives a lot of disdain(well earned), but it is hilarious how many quality coaches he brought in, to the organization. Incredible.

I mean whoever is decent and available that plays Guard and Tackle, take a look at them. I mean anyone. If there’s some Hogs that can still go? Check them out.
Not looking to win anymore games just want to protect Sam Howell the rest of the way. I’m sorry Gibson. You’re not the only player who can’t hold onto the ball.
Generally, at this point in a season, anyone that is "decent" or "satisfactory" is not available. They're already contributing their talents to a team.

Getting “ripped” is the only option when it comes to this organization. Time for another whisky….- 2

I’m talking about actually hiring a qualified, coveted, already-employed GM candidate lol and letting them build the team with their chosen HC and staff. Like a regular team. We’ve never done it in the modern era.
Those candidates don’t realistically exist. Any qualified, and coveted potential GM, is most certainly, already employed- and probably not available.
The two options you have, is to overly incentivize a qualified GM( with exorbitant amounts of money, because otherwise they’re already comfortably employed) Or: take a flyer on someone that “might”possess some talent, and is available( like a Scot McCloughan, who was available for a reason, due to some personal issues). And the latter model, doesn’t have a high success rate, as we found out.
Options are limited, unfortunately

If that’s your perception of the hires Snyder made over 20 years you are just incorrect. We had some good offensive or defensive coaches here at various times, but never both—and NEVER anybody who could build a roster.
This will be the first time we actually start things off by hiring a good GM candidate and building from the ground up. Ever, in my lifetime. I’m 34.
we hired a “good” GM- Scot Mcloughan. he was one of the “best” talent evaluators around.
Didn’t work out, for various reasons. Mostly, because he wasn’t really that good at talent evaluation.

because we weren't ready to get a new coach at the time
That’s fine. However, having all of that coaching talent within the organization should theoretically have some effect, and lead to a better product. It did not.

The scheme is trash. Players on other teams have openly said this.
The “scheme” has led to an offense that is 11th in the league in scoring. That isn’t “trash.” 32nd in scoring would certainly be considered “trash” 11th isn’t.something else is inherently wrong.

We were awesome in 2012....before bad coaching decisions ended someone's career prematurely
We were 10-6 in 2012. Good, but hardly “awesome.”Sean McVay( SB winning coach) Kyle Shannahan(HC of a perennial contender in San Francisco) and Mike McDaniels( HC and architect of an explosive Dolphins team).
All individuals were members of the coaching staff following that 2012 season. And netted…. Nothing.Incredible

Tank for the 15th time the past 30 years.
It’s almost impossible to actually “tank” in the NFL. Too many moving parts, and too many individuals that want to be paid for their effort.- 1

Move him off the spot, some waggle action.
You are going to get single coverage.
the Giants seem to be stacking the box quite heavily. Presumably, in theory, that should create some big play opportunities down the field.Edit: however, if we turn the ball over, these discussions are irrelevant

Jesus ****ing Christ this team. It’s so demoralizing to be a fan. Any momentum is immediately destroyed.
How do we do this, every Sunday?
