  1. Only 6 points from Wall is unacceptable. Not a good effort tonight. Temple should be phased out altogether and Butler should play more until Webster comes back.
  2. Yuck. Sloppy game. Why the heck did we keep switching with Teague? Fight through the picks, darnit!
  3. Good win. Impressed by the team's resilience. Down 15 on the road? No problem! When Nene got hurt, why did Gooden go directly from not playing to starting? Why not start Humphries or Seraphin, then bring Gooden in off the bench?
  4. That's part of what I was getting at earlier. I can buy that they overachieved last year but why are they flat-out awful now?
  5. What the hell happened to Charlotte? I thought they were going to be good this year.
  6. Good win, but let's not get carried away. Cleveland in their current form isn't a good team, and we slumped for much of the 4th: we were stuck at 86 points for an eternity. Fortunately for us they slumped too, and I think that had more to do with them than us. If it hadn't been for their late slump, they could've turned a comfortable win for us into a nailbiter.
  7. Not a particularly well-played game by us but we went right down to the wire with a good team. Great to have Beal back. Hopefully Wall won't suck so much during the next 1st half.
  8. It's so frustrating seeing Wall needlessly pick up his dribble like he often does.
  9. Not much else to say that I haven't already said about this team until we face some non-garbage teams. The upcoming stretch might be a good test to see where we really are, though we still won't truly know until Beal not only returns but has time to regain his flow.
  10. Still waiting for that game where we throttle inferior competition, but as long as we keep winning, I'm happy. I'm glad that we've actually been able to win the nailbiters thus far. Even last year (a successful year) those were trouble for us. Except in the Chicago series.
  11. Toronto had more to do with poor shooting and sloppiness than anything else. We were getting good looks, just not hitting. Meanwhile they made everything. Pierce & Nene were awful in that game, and Pierce was awful tonight as well. Wittman needs to be more willing to put Otto in when that happens. I don't really care how it looks as long as we're able to continue treading water until Beal & Webster come back.
  12. (exhales) Shouldn't have been close but this was a game that we probably lose in the past, even last year. Great game for Wall. Rebounding sucked.
  13. This wasn't even a particularly good performance and we still won comfortably. And still somewhat undermanned. This is a good team. Now if we could just make our darn FTs & layups........
  14. Good win, but why isn't Blair getting much PT? Temple has done a very good job in a SG role.
  15. Shouldn't have been close, but this is the kind of game we often blew last year. Good enough win.
  16. Eh, not worried. VERY undermanned. FTs are still worrisome though, and Wittman still sucks.
  17. Remember that game in the early 2000s when McGrady set what was then a career high for him, against us, yet we won? We ended up winning because of a late tip-in by one of our hustle players. Anyone remember who it was? Laron Profit is what's coming to mind, but it might've been someone else.
  18. Stupid copy-paste feature not working......I actually had to type all this out! http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2014/08/11/morning-shootaround-aug-11/#wizards
  19. Ouch! Team differences are put aside when team USA plays. Get well soon Paul. The east is sooo wide open this year.
  20. I'm still fuming over that gif of Howard committing a football Oline block on Wall to clear the way for Harden's GW layup..........
