When you have a **** offensive line, it doesn't matter what you do.

I live out of market and have had directv for the Sunday ticket since I moved in 2009. Cancelled it this year. Don't care and don't want to put money in to Dan's pocket via the TV deal.

Cosmi got beat a few times last week and now already a couple times this game in ugly fashion.

If we had a great defense, maybe a more conservative approach by the QB would be appropriate but this team will need to win shoot-outs. Wentz seems well suited for that role (for better or for worse). I think the Detroit game will be high scoring.

If we keep 6, I think he makes the cut. Wouldn't surprise me if it goes the other way, though.

In case you missed it, here's the Howell highlight reel from Saturday:

Encouraging.

Our team got better, but the Eagles and Giants got better-er. 7-10 I'm afraid.

Thoughts on if Brian Robinson Jr becomes a bell cow back in this offense with Gibson moving to more of a gadget player?
If I had to guess, I don't think they will pigeon hole either of them to begin with. I bet they get close to even carries at the beginning then who knows what happens as the season goes on. I think the bottom line is that we have flexibility and the coaches will adapt to what they see on the field.

So begins the legend of Sam Howell. Chicken fingers.

Just now, TheShredder said:
Who's the large back?
Both are 6'2"
Gibson is 220 lbs and Robinson is 225 lbs
So, the 5 lb difference qualifies him as a bruiser? That's nonsense. They just have different rushing styles and Robinson runs too straight up and Gibson is more agile. Expect to see Robinson on short yardage and at the end of games to run off the clock and not fumble.
I think Gibson will be smaller. And Robinson at 225 is 15 lbs over the league average. Maybe he's not Ironhead Heyward but he's big, no?

As the NFL pendulum swings, defenses have gotten faster/smaller. Maybe there's an edge to be found by using a large bruiser back.

They must think the benefit of those extra two picks outweighs the difference between Dotson and Olave/Hamilton/Williams.

What is the rationale behind letting Flowers go?

Cancelled DirecTV. It was the last way in which I was financially supporting this team (after having left the DC area 12 years ago).
Still a fan of course, but I'm naturally gravitating away from passionate involvement. It's such a miserable franchise, plus the new branding is weird. I'll watch when they're on national TV or catch glimpses on the Red Zone channel but just not feeling it the way I used to.

I don't think he'll get us over the hump. He might get us to the hump, though. If only we could draft a new owner and sign a new team culture in free agency.

We had to do something.

Hopefully the tanking allegations drive the league to "clean up" on all fronts and Dan gets swept out as part of it.

Sign Fitz for another year. Seems like the ultimate mentor QB.
Draft Howell, Willis or Corral (Pickett will be gone). I don't even care which one because nobody on earth seems to be able to accurately predict QB success (save a few exceptions). Keep throwing darts.

I was happy to see Samuel out there but I only recall seeing him on two or three plays. Does anyone know how much he played?

Deandre Carter has been a nice addition. That block he quit-on was a bad look but otherwise he's exceeded my expectations.

Flowers is a hand-full. Glad we brought him back.

McKissic is really good. Glad to hear his injury is nothing seirous.
Do you really care anymore?

Not really. I played golf, checked scores occasionally but haven't watched any highlights. It looks like we almost won, good job team. I'm in hibernation until something changes (like, winning).
