I like our picks and we're a couple years away, I just hope we can get there with Lucas and Wylie without getting JD killed.
-
Vegas thinks it’s JD. He’s at -1000 and May at +550.

Is Ertz actually signed or am I seeing sloppy reporting everywhere? I thought free agency opens on the 13th and assume he's "agreed to terms" (and not inked).

From Schefter's facebook:
"Former Cardinals’ HC Kliff Kingsbury, a senior offensive analyst and quarterbacks coach at USC, is expected to interview for the Chicago Bears’ offensive coordinator job, per sources. Kingsbury’s USC QB Caleb Williams is expected to receive strong consideration to become the Bears’ No. 1 overall pick."
Maybe it's mis-direction. Maybe it is a coincidence. Who knows.

In the short term, I love seeing the Eagles and Boys go down. Bigger picture though, I'd prefer for there to be less head coaching vacancies so we have a better chance at getting our guy. McCarthy should be gone. It wouldn't shock me if Siriani was fired as well.

Draft Kings has Caleb Williams with the number one pick at -800.

Did I hear them mention Jonathan Hankins? How's that for a ES free agent man crush blast from the past.

If ever there was a time to be hard-core BPA, it's this year. Blank slate from a fan and ownership perspective, and lots of picks. If that ends up being a tackle with the first pick, fine. But I'd like to see a moniacle focus on BPA all the way through the draft, no matter the position.

If I'm a new GM, I look at the entire thing as a blank slate. Total rebuild. With that in mind, I'm BPA all day, even if that's WR or QB. Drafting for need generates a roster of mediocre talent.

They blitzed someone next to him to take up the blocker, freeing Parsons up to attack the edge where the RB was slow to shift to his side.
It must be nice having an actual creative D-Coord who maximizes his best players.
Yep. I've heard some skepticism about the level of impact a new coordinator can have on a bad defense and this is a good example of how much play calling matters on that side of the ball.

Micah Parsons, no excuses, just makes plays. 13 sacks his first two years, and already 11 this year. One of the best players in the league not just on his team, so you know he’s being doubled and tripled team. No excuses, just makes plays. Meanwhile, Montez and Young couldn’t muster even 10 sacks and were still waiting on Jamin’s potential.
That last play he was completely unblocked. I can't recall seeing any of our ends come through unblocked on an obvious pass play situation like that.

This is the type of player I am looking for. You'll be seeing more highlight reels from this guy in next years draft thread.
<Jaydn Ott Highlight Video>
I don't think he's eligible for the 2024 draft since he's a true sophomore this year.

Wouldn't surprise me if Bo Nix goes first. It also wouldn't surprise me if they beat Washington next week and go on to win the playoff.

Hail to the ole' black and yellow.

I love Ashton Jeanty and think he will be a good pro:

If you were starting a team right now would you take Sam Howell or Brock Purdy?

I loved this game so much, I am ectatic. Sam is him and I'm all in. And we didn't win another game on the road to picking in the late teens. It couldn't have played out better.

Mo Kamara is a big deal in the Mountain West. So is Tory Horton.

This might have been discussed (I scanned back a few pages), but wouldn't we have gotten roughly a 3rd round comp pick if CY had just left via free agency?

Today marks the beginning of the next regime. I am with it! Move more players, now.

Not the reason we lost the game but Antonio Gibson continues to disappoint in big situations.

In Denver. First time for me here. cool city. Lots of breweries and sports bars. My kind of place.
Commanders fans everywhere. I haven’t been hassled by a single Denver fan. Usually I get ribbed by some home fans when I go to a road game and walk around the city
Denver fans are very docile. Nice mid-western folks. Heading down to the parking lot now to tailgate; I'm the drunk guy in the #72 Manley jersey.

I watched every CSU home game this year, in person, and Mo Kamara looked like a man playing against children. So did Tory Horton but he decided to stay for another year.
