  1. Alright Ibe... let's do something positive here.

    The first two since 2012-2013?

That ball from Hernadez was nice.

Yeah that was a nice one. Good match fellas, even though it was a preseason game, but had a regular season feel.

Hey I'll take that trophy and the $1 million dollar check  :D

  2. In regards of PG's freak accident injury, that was an 1 and 100,000 chance that break would have happened. But these players play all year around. They don't think about injuries like that. This is the exposure they want and they're getting it. It's nothing wrong with playing in the FIBA or World Cup. I like Cuban a lot, but he's wrong about this situation and his rant. This was a freak accident and this is more of a controlled environment than a regular pickup game where it's uncontrolled.

I didn't really like Mark Cuban's rant about the IOC and the World Cup after the Paul George injury.

First off, an NBA owner probably doesn't need to be casting stones about the corruption of the IOC when that league isn't that far removed from the Tim Donaghy scandal. The NBA isn't in it for the good of anyone but themselves either.

Second, the players want to play in this thing. The ones who don't, don't. A lot of players grow up dreaming about playing for Team USA in international competition. Saying the FIBA World Cup is just some scam to make the IOC money craps on that dream.

Third, it isn't like a high profile FIBA competition doesn't make NBA owners like Cuban tons of money by strengthening the brand of the league and their players worldwide.

  3. Saw this on reddit, pretty damn funny. The Sixers, of course, are accepting applications from the general public for some pretty serious basketball ops positions. Such as:

    http://nbateamjobs.m.teamworkonline.com/Jobdetail.aspx?j=58401

Feel free to find something up your alley and apply:

    http://nbateamjobs.m.teamworkonline.com/Category.aspx?c=170&l=11

Just make sure you throw me some tix for the tip if you get it.

Man I should go ahead and apply just to see if I can get an interview. LOL

  4. Mixed reports now, that Cavs have NOT offered Wiggins and that the Warriors have NOT offered Thompson, that both rumors are just bull**** put out by Flip to up the ante. Who knows.

Cavs should keep Wiggins IMO. I think the Wolves want way too much, and he can be had after this season by the Cavs. Again, that's my opinion.

  5. But for real, you all are playing it smart at least. Basically doing the same thing as the Wizards, signing everyone to 1 and 2 year deals (like Boozer here). Big difference is your star player is closer to 40 while ours are closer to 20 (Beal just turned 21 a few weeks ago and Wall was born in 19****ing90--God I feel old). Being in LA though and just being the Lakers should make up for SOME of that. Eventually.

Yeah, next season is a wash. I hope the Boozer move doesn't stunt Randle's 1st year. Also Henry was just brought back and they waived Randall, but I think they want to get a one year deal with him. I'm expecting a 35 win season coming up.

    And hire Byron Scott already.

  6. Boozer got partial waiver claimed by the Lakers.  Not sure why they'd do it when they just drafted Julius Randle, but whatever.

I'm not getting that pickup either, but whatever. Also the Lakers don't even have their 2015 1st round pick after the season, they only picked up the Rockets 2015 with the Lin trade. Welp, guess I have to deal with another year of missing the playoffs and I'm actually fine with it. Time to usher a new era in.

  7. LOL @ Bubbs thinking Wizards being a 7th seed next year. Well since my team still doesn't have a coach and won't even sniff the 7 seed out West(but received a 1st rounder for next season with the Lin trade), I think the Wizards had a good offseason. IMHO, they have probably the deepest front court in the league. You can't argue that. The Hump will give you another double/double along with Nene(when healthy) and re-signing Gortat. Wiz will be much improved next season.

  8. Here is how that works:

    POLL:

Q -What is your favorite non-US soccer team

A - Oh, Manchester United?  I've heard of them.  (checks box)

But everyone wants a London side.

    DC I resent that jab....LOL

Latest rumor J. Rodriguez to Real for €80 millions + Casimero (don't ask me who is he).

Shall I see a conflict comin' up with CR7 ?

So they can afford Bale, Ronaldo and Rodriguez? I don't think CR7 will welcome Rodriguez right now.

  9. FrFan, I want to watch another club and it's AS Monaco. So tell me the good things about them, as I want to follow one of my favorite new players, James Rodriguez. I know they finished 2nd behind PSG. Also there is a rumor that Barca and RM are in a bidding war for his services.

Will the owner match any deal? I want to follow a new league this season.

  10. I am going to sound stupid here, but I was stunned and amazed to read that Kevin Love is only 25. For some reason, I thought he and Lebron were about the same age. It seems like he has been playing for a decade.

I think he came into the league at 18 or 19. But yeah, he's only 25.
