Amgen makes Neulasta, they are a publickly traded company that made $22 billion in 2015. I do understand they dont use Federal grants and they fund their research (Which they cant write off on their corporate taxes) themselves which means the cost gets passed on to me. I think the government or any new healthcare plan needs to understand when a drug is developed in the private sector and patented and you will have no chance at getting a generic so something has to be done to lower the cost of 1 shot @ $6000. Companies are going to continue to create new drugs and patent them and some will be a crucial to certain medical protocols so if you want to lower costs this would be one placve to start.

Thanks for asking, I just completed my 3rd round last Tuesday, its kicking my ass but only for about 12 or 13 days from the day treatment starts. After that your body comes back to normal and you start to feel ok but then its time for another round. I just got my doc to give me an extra week before my next round, all in all its not very much fun but its manageable with proper support from family.

But those are tied to loss of coverage at work, also if a condition is pre-existing then could that really be seen as a life changing event, it was life changing before it became pre-existing. It's not clear, I feel like most of these people we're focusing on wouldn't get ACA anyway, but I could be wrong. I can tell you the ACA wouldn't let me sign up this year outside of my 60 day window for losing coverage at work (I forfeited coverage). I also had a pre-existing condition, its a nasty one too. EDIT: Ok after digging in deeper this pool of money will be for those people who live in states who opt out and kick everyone with pre-existing conditions out of coverage.

I'm just not getting this new bill. So if you maintain continuous coverage for 60 days then preexisting conditions are covered. If you don't have insurance and you have pre-existing conditions then this set-aside pool of money will help those individuals. The ACA is like any other healthcare plan where you have to enter under open enrollment. If you're uninsured and have a preexisting condition would you even be in a situation where you could currently get ACA coverage? Are they changing this rule with the new bill?

Reading those last tweets, this is not about ripping the Freedom Caucus for not passing a ****ty bill, its about the FC not having a solution and presenting their own option. They want to sit back and have the work done for them while they shove food down their face and take naps. I said in here a while back I didn't believe Obamacare would ever be repealed because Republicans dont have the balls to remove something that in general is pretty good. What worries me is that I think the bill is an open beta and needs fine tuning. We have one option here in Florida, that option is good but if it goes away we're screwed, then you have rising costs and other items that worry someone who pays for their own health insurance. I truly believe Healthcare is a Democratic bill, I wouldn't be surprised if Trump started working with the left, its the only way this thing gets done correctly.

What pisses me off is if you don't like the bill then write one that fits your constituents, don't just sit there and do nothing. The last thing is if conservative principles are keeping this bill from being "good" then Trump needs to break away and exploit those who are holding up progress. Move to the middle and restructure Obamacare and forget about the Freedom Caucus and the rest of the dinosaurs, he never really was a Republican so I think you pull in Democrats along with moderate Republicans to rewrite Obamacare. Bottom line, Pual Ryan is worthless and so are most of the Republicans when it comes to healthcare.

Why would congress be involved, it's full of idiots on both sides with agenda's, let our intelligence agencies do the work. It's hard for me to believe our intelligence agencies aren't aware of everything that has been said, the fact they aren't releasing incriminating data tells me there is none.
