  1. I'm a bit worried about this desperation play that Rivera is doing. I hope they don't do something stupid out of desperation.
  2. They're going after Trubisky. They couldn't strike a deal with the Bills at the Trade Deadline now he's a Free Agent so there's nothing standing in their way.
  3. The more I watch Carson Strong the more I'm falling in Love with this kid. He's got a cannon for an arm and that ball comes out quick with good velocity. There's no waiting on the ball from the receiver. He hits them in stride. His ball placement is excellent as well. He has a very Tom Brady-esque look about him. His throws are just effortless like Bradys were.
  4. Ummm, we would be wanting him to be a starter and I'm sure there will be a few others who would want the same thing.
  5. No way do I see Trubisky going to New York Giants. Number one, he's going to want to start and the Giants won't be able to offer him starter money with Daniel Jones also needing to be paid. If we make Trubisky a good offer, which we will and he knows he is coming in to be the starter, then he's not going to New York to compete with Daniel Jones.
  6. Sounds like they are going with Josh McDaniels who has publicly said he likes Carr so lets eliminate the talk about him.
  7. Put me on record as saying that I am ALL IN on Trubisky and also just remember that I'm also the guy who's telling everyone that you're going to be very surprised in Trubisky. You won't see the same QB you saw in Chicago!! Save your laughs. Just remember I told you so.
  8. Although it's hard to bet against Brady, I'm going to pick Matty Ice and the Rams to knock them out tomorrow and I think Josh Allen and the Bills send KC to the showers as well.
  9. I have thought about that also and my take is that like most, they had some reservations about Trubisky. Here's where it gets interesting and this is why I'm a little higher on Trubisky than most. I know that Ron is very close with the Buffalo coaching staff. I also know that Ron loved Trubisky coming out of college. I would bet my entire bank account that he had more than a few conversations with Buffalo to see how Trubisky was doing and got a lot of positive feedback. I think the feedback was so positive in fact, that it pursuaded Ron to make the call at the trade deadline to try to grab Trubisky because he didn't want word to get out of how well he was doing and have to compete with others for him in Free Agency. Unfortunately though, The trade at the deadline never happened and here we are. I don't think Ron is rolling the dice on Trubisky. You better believe he has some inside info on him!
  10. I think one factor that MIGHT come in to play on Trubisky is that the Giants just hired Buffalo Asst. GM Joe Shoen to be their new GM and they are also in the market for a new Head Coach. I literally just read an article stating that Shoen might want to bring Trubisky to New York to be the QB if they decide to give up on Daniel Jones which I think is very probable with a new coach.
  11. No, I heard something different and i honestly can't remember where I heard it. It may have been from a talk radio show, I'm not sure, but the Buffalo coaches were really praising him. As the saying goes, "We will See".
  12. I can't see any scenario where that would happen with Mike Tomlin there. He's a fierce competitor who has never had a losing season in his coaching career and he wants to keep that record intact. The only way this happens is if someone trades for Tomlin and they get a new coach and I can't see that happening either. Pittsburgh would be the laughing stock of the league to let a coach like him get away.
  13. The logic is that all anyone had to go on was a so so career in Chicago. Now everything has come out on how much that Nagy abused and disrespected him in Chicago and how much Buffalo absolutely loves him and raves about him. It's causing people to think that "possibly" he could be a lot better QB in a different environment.
  14. I agree that Trubisky needs some work. He is FAR from a finished product but my take on him, and we all have opinions good and bad, is that he is probably the toughest of all of these QB's to get a fair read on. The best analogy I can give is that I would compare him to a woman that you want to date who has been in several abusive relationships. She may be a great woman but she's going to have a lot of scars that she carries with her from all of that abuse. She may overcome them. She may not. Lets not kid ourselves, the way that Nagy treated Trubisky was out and out abusive. The fact that Trubisky didn't completely blow a gasket says a lot about his fortitude as a person. Can he salvaged? Based upon the comments that have come out of Buffalo and that is really what causes me the most optimism, the answer is YES.
  15. I somewhat agree but I wouldn't want that high end rookie to be a 1st round pick. They are probably have to win a bidding war with a couple of other teams to get Trubisky so he's probably not going to come as cheap as some think. With that being the case, you can't pay lets say 10 million or more per year on a multiyear contract and have him ride the bench. By the same token, in todays league you cant draft a guy in the first round and have him sit on the bench for long either. So perhaps Trubisky and a QB in the 3rd or 4th round would probably be the most ideal.
  16. I think Trubisky will be the guy. Ron loved him coming out of college and he called Buffalo this year at the trade deadline to inquire about him but Buffalo didn't want to move him because they didn't want to be caught with no back-up QB in case Josh Allen went down with an injury. Now he's a Free Agent so there's every reason in the world to believe Ron goes after him hard to bring him in. The part that I find funny and actually somewhat amazing is how many people who actually think that would be a horrible move. So, let's talk for a minute. First of all, Trubisky had to play in Chicago for a coach (Nagy) who inherited him but didn't want him. I don't think I have to convince anyone how horrible of a coach that Nagy was. He was so horrible that he would even set up meetings with Trubisky and then wouldn't show up for the meetings. Trubisky shows up with detailed notes that he wants to discuss and then his coach doesn't bother to even show up. This is the crap he had to put up with from Nagy. Who out there could be successful under those circumstances? Still, somehow the guy managed to put up pretty good numbers (not great but decent), even making it to the Pro Bowl one year and led his team to a Playoff appearance going 11-3 that year (his second) in the 14 games he played in. Now he's in Buffalo and the coaches there love him and rave about him. I even read something a while back where someone in Buffalo stated that he was going to be a Franchise QB for someone next year. See how that works? Often times, it's the coaching and the system more than it's the player. It's time to stop being so negative about some of these guys and have a bit of an open mind.
  17. My plan for QB since right now we don't have anyone in-house that excites me at all. I'd sign Trubisky in the off season and if available, draft Matt Corral from Ole Miss and let them battle it out for who starts. In a perfect world you go with Trubisky to start and bring Corral along slowly but if Trubisky bombs then hopefully you have something with Corral, if not in the beginning, then at least someone to develop who has talent.
  18. It's not about Trubisky. It's the fact that they never do anything. It's about signing a 38 year old BUM of a guy at QB who has never done anything in his career and then trying to convince everyone that he's going to come in and be the savior of the team. It's about having an owner who is an absolute disgrace of a human being being involved in sex scandals, your athletic trainer is suspended and under investigation by the DEA, your coach just seems to be going through the motions every week and he brings a staff in with him when he was hired that was mostly with him at his last place of employment where they all got fired. Would you like me to go on because I certainly can. I can go on and on and on. I'm TIRED of the crap!!! If you're not then why don't YOU do you??
  19. Well, AS USUAL, this team does nothing. Someone wake me when the team is sold and we have competent people in charge. Until then, I'm OUT! 30 years of this crap is enough!!
