  1. why is Kareem entitled? he had arguably had the greatest basketball career ever. If anything, he is under-appreciated.
  2. I didnt see the 2nd as a Bradley round. Altho I meant 3-5 were when Manny clearly won, so my mistake. the 2nd round was a close round that I gave to Manny.
  3. yeah, Im with you on this usually. But I think Blatche and McGee could have been helped by having a veteran big man to learn from. Nene is a true professional, and I wouldnt have an issue with Drummond watching him play and trying to beat him for a starting spot.
  4. the more I think of it, the more I want Drummond. I think having Nene here will help him a lot.
  5. I said it earlier. For me, only the 2nd to 5th round were convincing rounds for Pacquaio.
  6. the one time Bradley was "shaken" was when he rolled his ankle. I bet the other time was also when his ankle and apparently broken foot was bothering him and he lost balance. did you check the odds before the scores were announced in the Margarito fight? Or Clottey? I bet they were similar. ---------- Post added June-11th-2012 at 07:06 PM ---------- its two guys who tap a button to say where the punch connected. they focus solely on both fighters. Its a great tool, but like you said its not end all be all and they have been biased in the past.
  7. If Victor Ortiz wins later this month, he could be in line to face the Canelo Alvarez in September. Interesting precisely my feeling. It was a very close fight and I feel both guys missed a lot, hence why Im throwing question on those compubox figures. This is what recent Pacquiao opponents have looked like after Manny connects on around 40% of his power punches This is Bradley post fight not the best comparison, but Pacquiao can really hurt guys when connecting. He didnt here.
  8. idk, im just leery since Greg Oden had one leg longer than the other
  9. idk man round 7, compubox said Bradley only connected on 11 punches. Im rewatching it now and he connected on at least 12 punches with a minute left in the round. And I say that thinking that was a Manny round.
  10. he didnt say easily, tbf. And I also think Manny won, my point is that fight was very effing close. the only time Bradley was wobbled was when he hurt his ankle. I wanna say it was round 4 or 5. He backed up and looked like he was about to go down. That was the round Bradley rolled his ankle. You can also see throughout that fight that Bradley was not moving the same way he was early on in the fight. Instead of backing up and being on his heels like earlier, Bradley was elluding with head movement and ducking his head. And his head movement was there at the end after he adjusted to his injury. Idk, I think Manny won that fight but it was a VERY close fight. Even during the Manny slobbering, Emmanuel Steward pointed out that Manny's over hand left was not connecting anymore after the earlier rounds. And like I always tell people about Roach fighters, Bradley started closing the ring off and closing on Manny and forcing the fight to be an inside fight. Roach fighters cannot fight on the inside. I dont believe Bradley hurt Manny much, but he was scoring points which is what its all about.
  11. those were fake twitter accounts. Lets wait for their real views.
  12. thats ur view. I think he did, altho i admit they were very close. Really, outside of rounds 3-5, the fight was really close.
  13. I rewatched the fight I gave Bradley that first round, and then 9-12. still only 5 rounds, but it wasnt the most dominant display that HBO and co would have you believe. Manny missed a lot of punches and Bradley caught him a few times. He scored well even if it wasnt hurting Manny. Bradley's last 4 round strategy would have won him the fight with no controversy if he had that tactic from the start of countering. Also the middle rounds, really after round 5, they were very close. I think Manny won, but they were close rounds. Also, I watched without sound because I wanted no bias from the commentators. ---------- Post added June-10th-2012 at 10:02 PM ---------- I could. Rounds 7-9 were VERY close. For someone with a broken left foot and a badly sprained right foot, Bradley moved pretty well to avoid some of Manny's over top shots from the left.
  14. even though I think Manny won, I dont believe the punch stats. im going to watch a replay tonight
  15. I had 4 for Bradley. I think the HBO slurping of Manny had a strong bias. Plus Manny didnt really fight that hard the last 4 rounds. the Marquez fight, I struggled to find 4 rounds for Pacquiao. Every clean shot in that fight went to Marquez and he countered Manny to death. He took off the last 2 rounds tho. one thing is that Bradley's ankle was messed up as the pic shows above. Have to give him credit, maybe not on the scorecards, for not going down and quitting.
  16. Bradley's ankle and the JMM/Pac decision in November was worse than this one.
  17. Manny can take a loss, especially one like this where he is the sympathetic figure, and not lose much prestige to the eyes of the casual boxing fan and public. Arum wants to cake off that rematch obviously, and keep the money completely in house for a big pay day. Taking an L to Floyd and Manny loses all that prestige he had before.

  19. No, we've seen worse robberies. Paul Williams fight versus Erislandy Lara was worse last year. And if Manny cant have his promoter on his side, why should Floyd show sympathy?
  20. he lost to Marquez and they doing this to avoid Floyd. Cool. Just glad you all see this now. Arum is the worst.
  21. Lamb's athleticism>>>>>>>>>Beal's and Beal is more KMart than Lamb is. Im not trying to start anything, but you have some off the cuff views about these players. It feels like you havent watched much of them. I do agree about Lamb being thin tho, but that doesnt concern me as much as Beal not taking good shots and not being that athletic. yeah, people are trying to force this comparison when its not accurate at all. Gordon is a great athlete and very explosive. Beal is not anywhere near that. yeah, the Redskins trump everything in this area but this is a basketball town. The meccas of bball in this country are Chicago, DC, NY, LA, Seattle, and ATL in no order. The WCAC is probably the best Catholic bball league in the country. apparently one of Sullinger's legs is longer than the other. Not sure if I like that.
