  1. After Bang's post, I'm picturing Larry M describing going into a stall right after Pot Roast came out....dude, your humor is too sick!

I don't mind Andy post game or on MMQB (think Galdi is a bit too bland on postgame) but that's about the only time I care to hear Pollin on 980.

Andy is a grouchy old man full of sour grapes still over losing his ride home time slot and partner to Cooley. I made sure I tweeted at them this morning how unlistenable it was.

  2. I have old hard drives that I need to get stuff off of. IDE drives. What is the easiest way?

    BAM.

    (Big *** Magnet)

We use an NSA certified degausser here. SSD get thrown in the chipper.

  3. That's all fine and good, but most of the folks are hacks on there or just past their prime. I like Czabe and Cooley, Galdi just annoys me with some of hard stances he takes. Cooley sometimes annoys me too because he interrupts a lot, but that has gotten better as he's gotten more used to radio. Can't stand Laverro anymore either, used to like him, but now he's a whiny baby who overblows and overanalyzes everything.

The Man Cave... please, kill it with fire!

  4. Replacing the Oil Control Valve on my 2007 Sonata tonight. Causing to make all kids of racket due to throwing the timing off. Hopefully that's the issue, or I'm in for a few thousand to get the motor worked on and see if the timing chain jumped a tooth. One little sensor set me back $130. I love newer cars.

10 Deputies put on leave over the beating.

Love this gem from the end of the article:

[sheriff] McMahon said deputies had previously been called to Pusok's home where he allegedly made threats to kill a deputy and fatally shot a family puppy in front of family members. "We were very familiar with his aggressive nature," McMahon said.

I read that the family, originally from Idaho, had been living out of their Chevy Suburban in the Walmart parking lot in Cottonwood, Arizona for at least four days.  The original police call came because one of them allegedly assaulted a WalMart employee in a rest room.  Living in the parking lot, they were likely using the rest room as their personal bathroom.

So they're living out of a car... they got nothing to lose.  A night in jail would be more comfortable than crammed into a suburban or on the asphalt of a parking lot.

The family bills themselves as a Christian band, "Matthew 24 Now," and had been seen playing on the streets of Boise, Idaho.

    Here's their Facebook page:

Matthew 24 is often interpreted as apocalyptic in nature. The name of the band should therefore give some insight into the types you're dealing with.

  6. Chris Paul is a basketball player. He is not a radio host.

Other than Kornheiser and sheehan the sports scene on the radio in this city is terrible. Don't waste your time people.

IDK, I like Cooley & Czabe. Although it gets annoying when they start talking over each other. Cooley's especially bad about interrupting and then Czabe starts to sound like an old curmudgeon.

  7. ESPN radio suddenly halts ‘The Man Cave’, and some blame NFL’s Redskins

Sports columnist Jason Reid said goodbye to his Washington Post colleagues on Wednesday and headed off to his next job: hosting a morning radio program on Washington’s ESPN 980 (WTEM AM).

    But he never got there.

Late last week, station managers told the would-be radio host that his new program, “The Man Cave,” wasn’t airing as scheduled Monday despite several weeks of promotional buildup. It’s not clear whether it will ever air, at least with Reid running the show. What’s more, the station executive who conceived the Reid-hosted program, Chuck Sapienza, resigned from the station Monday, apparently over the show’s demise.

Sucks he lost his gig, but I was not happy about losing Mike and Mike. Twitter feedback does work! ;)

  8. You've never met a girl that liked it rough to the point where you think "you know what, if I do this I could go to prison is she changes her story tomorrow, because no one will believe me"?  Some women want you to hit and choke them, and not terribly lightly.  You could easily leave marks that would have you looking guilty as hell.  One girl that hooked up with a friend of mine said she wanted to "pretend to fight you off" complete with screaming no.  He got spooked and just got the hell out of there.

    People are weird man.

That was a Law and Order SVU episode about a college professor and student relationship. He said, she said.

Seriously? LOL...I lmao at that one, dude...

I really liked him my whole life. Damn sad, disappointing, just...wow.

Is it confirmed or is it all allegations still at this point? Perhaps a little caution and let due process take its course.

  9. Lately I've grown fond of visiting local businesses or going to YELP in order to dine at places with good reviews. Assuming Olive Garden does poorly on YELP so won't bother.

Everyone else should download YELP on their phone and dine at the highly recommended restaurants

I prefer the TV Food Maps app. It locates all the restaurants that have been featured on TV in the surrounding area. You can find some of those Diner's, Drive-Ins and Dives.
