  1. ESPN just compared Morris to Davis, so apparently I'm not the only one after all.
  2. Alfred Morris reminds me a lot of Stephen Davis. Am I the only one seeing this?
  3. I'm scared to talk playoffs, but we are officially in the hunt after getting it done against Philly and Dallas. Next week against the Giants is the most important game we've played since 2007.
  4. Time for the throwbacks! I hardly ever post stuff from BR, but this is pretty good: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1391400-redskins-throwback-uniforms-breaking-down-washingtons-80th-anniversary-unis Follow the above link for the rest. I love 'em. So do a lot of other people it seems. PFT also has an article on this which calls them "one of the best throwback ensembles": http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/10/31/redskins-to-unveil-throwbacks-on-sunday/
  5. Somebody pointed out in the other thread that this would be a great time to order a #33 jersey if you ever wanted one.
  6. Really cool website with all the uniforms (I'm sure it has been linked here already, but if anyone has not seen it): http://www.gridironuniforms.com/redskins.html This is the 1937 uni they were working from: http://www.gridironuniforms.com/images/1937_Washington.png (The picture is a bit too big to post so just go to the link).
  7. Of course it is black and white, but here is a video of the 1937 Championship newsreel footage. Maybe it is a bit too old-fashioned for some folks' taste, but I really like it.
  8. OK, one more: No doubt this is a throwback to 1937 (first year in DC, and first Championship). Love the history, and love that we are paying tribute this way.
  9. I like it. A nice tribute to the 1937 'skins, the original DC Championship team.
  10. Awesome OP. Dallas week is in full effect. We want Dallas!!
  11. Games in local markets (based on your IP address) will be blacked out for 24 hours, then the on demand replay will become available.
  12. NFL.com's preseason pass was great. I did not get to see the live coverage, but the on-demand replays are awesome. If you have the bandwidth, you can get HD, if not you can turn the quality down for a smoother connection. You also have the option of selecting between the home and away broadcasts. I think it is well worth my $20.00 for the preseason games, and $50.00 for on-demand regular season games, since I am currently living out west and working weekends. The only downside is that games in local markets are blacked out for 24 hours.
  13. I do not know about the PS3, but as far as I can tell the NFL.com package uses flash.
  14. Just signed up for preseason live and and game rewind on nfl.com. This might be a good option for some of you folks. https://gamerewind.nfl.com/nflgr/secure/packages It cost me $55.00 ($15.00 for preseason, $40.00 for regular season). For my money: I will get to watch all the preseason games, plus on demand replays of those, and on demand replays of all regular season games. Since I am working a lot of weekends and living out west, this seems like a great deal to me. I will let you know how I like the service.
  15. If I were going to be the thread necromancer and resurrect a "paloffs is now thread," it would have been the original one.
  16. I have heard that the yellow "R" helmet came about when Vince Lombardi coached the 'skins, because we wanted to look more like the Green Bay Packers. Ever heard anything like that?
  17. I love when the mods change the title of a thread to something funny.
  18. It amazes me how often this comes up. For what its worth, yes, we should go back to the burgundy pants. I'll be surprised if we do though.
