    Nor am I.

But the Mumps vaccine doesn't allow me to get Mumps, and spread it, and just prevent me from showing symptoms.  It stops me from getting it.  I'm pretty sure that's what every single vaccine we have, does.

Note:  No, it does not mean that my body is guaranteed to never contain a single Mumps virus, ever.  It means that if a virus (or a thousand) does get into my body, my immune system will kill them before I have enough of the virus, to be considered infected.

Testing positive for the Virus doesn’t mean you are “infected” if you want to use that word in that way. It means that when they swab your sinuses they detect the virus. Your body can kill all the virus and a PCR test will pick up those shedding dead cells and pop a positive test. That’s why an antigen test is a better test, because it detects live virus in you. PCR testing doesn’t determine if your body is killing off the virus preventing you from getting sick, just detecting the presence of the cells. Also, you CAN get the measles, mumps, or rubella after 2 doses of the MMR vaccine.

Some people who get two doses of MMR vaccine may still get measles, mumps, or rubella if they are exposed to the viruses that cause these diseases. Experts aren’t sure why; it could be that their immune systems didn’t respond as well as they should have to the vaccine or their immune system’s ability to fight the infection decreased over time. However, disease symptoms are generally milder in vaccinated people.

There isn’t a single vaccine ever developed that prevents 100% of vaccinated people from getting sick, or transmitting the disease/virus they are vaccinated against to unvaccinated persons. None.

  2.  Eat the Isles with Ovie-Kuzy-Orlov-Sammy on COVID protocol, Wilson out, and lose Backstrom and Eller mid game to injuries.

Side note, Sheary should NEVER get a jersey over Sprong.

I like Shultz in this system, and TvR has been good the last 2 games. Don’t really miss Orlov to be honest...

We can revisit the first part in a few days if you like but you are wrong that there are no positive test.

Stars spread was doing normal training camp events, technically correct, not during a game, but also not breaking protocol.

Ok, Sammy tested positive after the Tuesday night Pens game.

Now my question is, the penalty is from BEFORE the game because the Caps came home after the game. So the penalty is meant as an example for the league. Sammy sat on the bench the entire game. So why are the Russians forced to quarantine? It still doesn’t make any sense. The league’s statement is still that the quarantine/penalty is for being social without masks.

Canes and Stars had spread during games. Caps had potential spread during non game leisure time.

Caps don’t have potential spread. The Caps are “high risk close contacts” and placed on the COVID reserve. There is no positive test. In order to have potential spread there has to be a positive case.

EDIT: The Stars didn’t have spread during a game. They haven’t played yet.

It's a no win situation. They are at home with family before going on the road. Super easy for 1 player to get it and then pass it to the team if they gather in a hotel room playing cards for hours.  Also super easy for a player to pass it to his linemate who sits beside him on the bench for 40 minutes, half of those minutes while breathing super heavy post shift.

Of those 2 scenarios, heavy exertion spreads it more. The Canes and Stars haven’t been fined for violating protocol. They have outbreaks. The team that has no outbreak has been hit with the biggest fine in league history for violating protocol. Teams costing other teams games = no fine. Team that just finished 4 games in 6 nights = fine. There is no logic...

They broke a rule... and it's important or it wouldn't be a rule.

It’s a stupid rule when you permit said players to participate in games and celebrate without masks. Especially on the road when you literally lock them in the hotel and test them every day.

Wait.....so only two players at a time in eachothers hotel rooms (the person staying there, and one visitor), but they can all be together on the bench and in the locker room?

No, zero visitors. Each player has their own room. No other person is permitted to be in the room with them at all.

That its nothing more then players in 1 room and the league decided to make an example of the Caps.

The team league, team, and player statement are all in agreement that it was players gathering in hotel rooms. NHL policy states that only 1 player is permitted in there room. No visitors.  “In their hotel room and outside of team approved areas.”

On the  bench and locker room they are only exposed to each other.  In the hotel s they are exposed to everyone else

Who is everyone else? The players are locked down, and are not permitted to interact with ANYONE outside of the team.

There will be one hotel designated in each NHL city where road teams will stay. Players will each get their own room (no more road roommates), and housekeepers are not allowed to enter rooms during the stay. In addition, all members of the team's traveling party are banned from dining at restaurants, going into shops or using transportation that is not directly provided by the team; all meals will be served at the team hotel.

  9. Orlov had Guentzal, Wilson had the point. What the hell was Backstrom doing floating that far from the net?

Yeah, horrible rebound control, but Crosby should have been bodied and fighting for the rebound, not casually strolling through the crease.
