  1. Chipper is definitely a HoFer in my book. Sucks to see him possibly go out this way. But maybe he comes back since he'll have to rehab his knee anyway. But if it is indeed over, he had a great career.
  2. Just subscribe to the thread so you can always find it
  3. blame that one on me rp. i didn't start watching that game until the 8th...
  4. Goes to one of my favorite sayings, "talk ****, eat ****"
  5. Good to see a rivalry brewing with the Cardinals and Reds. Definitely good for baseball so we can get away from the Red Sox/Yankees.
  6. Nothing is better on a hot summer day than an ice cold Blue Moon!
  7. If they get Berkman, season's over. That lineup would be down right scary. Jeter Berkman Teixiera ARod Cano Swisher Gardner Posada Granderson

  9. Good move for the Rangers. Cantu is very underrated.
  10. Right I know Utley and Victorino are on the DL. That's what I'm saying, if they can all get back to hitting how they should, they could be very dangerous. I should've included that in my original post.
  11. If they kept Lee, they may not have had to trade for Oswalt.
  12. If they can get Utlety, Howard, Werth, and Victorino hitting again, they will be very dangerous.

  14. damn JustAfan did you get bored and search YouTube all last night?
  15. Looks like Oswalt is going to OK the trade to Philly
  16. Why would Derek Lee veto a trade to the Angles? Does he really like Chicago that much?
  17. Yeah it really is a tough question to answer. I mean ultimately you want your team to win titles, but you want them to be competitive at the same time. I mean I'd take 2 titles in 15 years, but I'd also want a team that is good year in and year out. If the Marlins actually kept those guys, who knows how many more titles they have. As soon as they win one, they rip apart the team. Seems like a strange strategy, but it works for them I guess.
  18. Ok so this was brought up in the Nats thread: Since 1993, which franchise has been more successful, the Marlins or the Braves? Marlins-- 1,333-1,453 2 World Series Titles, 2 Playoff appearances, 6 winning seasons, 0 division titles Braves--1,617-1,168 1 World Series Title, 11 playoff appearances, 15 winning seaons, 12 division titles So if you go by WS wins, its the Marlins. But overall success its the Braves. So which would you rather have? A team that gets hot every few years and wins, or a team that is consistently good, but doesn't always win the big one?
  19. So Chris Coghlan of the Marlins could be out awhile with a torn meniscus. The cause? Jumping to pie Wes Helms in the face after a walk-off victory. I give it 3 facepalms :doh::doh:
  20. So why are the Phillies trying to trade Werth and get Oswalt? The Phillies problems most of the season have been hitting. Their pitching is pretty solid and Hamels has been pitching well lately. They just can't score any runs, so why trade one of your best hitters?
  21. Sucks that he couldn't be the powerhouse O's!
  22. Yeah he has definitely underachieved this season. He did seem to be picking it up a little bit lately though.
  23. I think the Jays got a good deal getting Escobar, I've always liked him, but he's having a down year this year. Alex Gonzalez is too streaky for me.
