Understandable, but still unacceptable.
BTW, good thread. Like that we’re keeping it civil and policing it.

Uh, 40 years ago, Bullets (Wizards) were NBA Champs. Just sayin...
That’s my point. Nothing but mediocre to misery since then, while others have had their teams raise trophies within the last 10-20 years. It’s easy when your winning to have a great attitude.
I was 10 when we won the NBA title. I just turned 50.

God damn I love when Warriors and Rockets fans tell us lowly Wizards fans how to feel.
I mean, pretty easy when your team wins 50+ games a year, wins multiple titles and competes for trophies every year.
Walk a a mile in my past 40 years and tell me how you might feel. And don’t tell me about the hard times your teams used to have, because there’s no hard times now.
FORTY YEARS man!! Try and keep faith with that.

I prefer not to say "God was watching out for me" but rather "God has a greater purpose that saving me must play into." Maybe one of those people invents the cure for cancer? Or has a great-granddaughter that saves a child from being sold into slavery?
I see your point, but that’s picking and choosing who is worth saving and who isn’t. That’s not a just and fair god.

I guess I don’t get the “God was watching over me” when someone has something good happen or when someone cheats death.
Why you? A plane crashes with 100 people. 90 die and 10 survive. One person states they don’t know how they survived, but “God must’ve been watching over me.” So why weren’t the other 90 looked over? What did they do to deserve to not survive?
like @Kosher Ham I just have a hard time with the picking and choosing thing.

Not a big fan of Ronda Rousey in WWE. Too gimmicky for my taste.

40 years without 50 wins. Has to be a record. Congrats Wheezers.
Redskins right behind you with 26 years without an 11 win season.

Raised Catholic. Right now Agnostic.
Loved the post by @Bang as he basically said word for word how I feel.
If there is a “god” - he/she has given me a **** life and I want a do over.

40 years. I turned 10 that year. If we don’t get to 50 wins (not likely), does that set some kind of NBA record?
Weird that they only won 44 games that year. Then they win 54 the next and lose to the Sonics in the rematch.

Messi aside, is there a better footballer on the planet than Mo Salah right now?
On a complete other level.
Just give him the Ballon'dOr now.

77-78 Bullets season was the first NBA season for me. I turned 10 during that season and we were 44-38, but won the title. Watched a lot of NBA during the 80s. My fandom waned in the 90s. It was my 2nd favorite league behind the NFL up until the late 90s. Now it’s 4th among NFL, NHL and MLB.

My Alma Mater Memphis let go Tubby Smith. I never liked that hiring after Pastner. I’m hoping next year Turgeon is shown the door.

Does Turgeon survive this?
They didn’t deserve it.

Dennis Rodman is friends with Trump and Kim. He should mediate.

That may be one of the greatest X Files episodes ever. It reminded me of an old Larry Hama written issue of GI Joe that featured Snake Eyes where there wasn't a single word of dialogue & still told a good story. X Files however took it to the next level & told a great story.
I’ve never really watched the X-Files, but I was flipping channels and became enthralled with this episode. It was well done. Enjoyed it.

I love it. Good for those guys. Some good PR from the Skins finally.

^^ Because Smith is 34 and at the end of his career? You need to groom the next one. He doesn’t need to play right away. Develop him like the Packers did to Aaron Rodgers.

I’d just as well by ok with an end to the season after this. I’m not interested in an NIT first round loss.
I’m also a Memphis Tigers fan (alma mater) and they are 18-12. But they were completely gutted and have a young team.
If MD had a young rebuilding team, I could be OK with their record, but Turd-geon has had years to build. He’s failed.

28 years? Wow, that was huge. Thought Spurs would lose after the first 10 minutes.
BTW, I love Rebecca Lowe. She needs to leave her husband.
