  1. Believe in a creator and that I’m saved through my faith in Jesus Christ.

Have strayed from my faith from time to time in my past unfortunately.  But as I get older I find I’m happier and more content in my life the closer my walk with God is.  I’m a sinner however so it’s a struggle.

understand I’m in the minority (especially on this forum) in my beliefs.

  2. With so little to watch or pay attention to in the sports world right now Im so happy we have the draft coming next week.  My son and I are giddy with anticipation.  Just hope Ron doesn't do something crazy or disappointing.  A big - huge haul of picks or Chase.

Fingers crossed that Young will become what many believe he can be.  This team is desperate for a star.  An All Pro.  While it will be difficult to live up to the hype he seems to have everything you look for.  What he can do as an individual on the field might only be eclipsed by what he can do to raise the level of play by the rest of that line.

One week and the predator will be in Burgundy and Gold.

    Damn... can't wait.

  3. On draft day the value of QBs always surprises a little.  Several reaches are made for lower tier QBs.  The thought that Burrow won't go number one is silly to me.  Tua any later than #5 would be shocking to me.  Haskins comes to mind as one of the few recent slides (albeit slight).

The Skins are in a no lose situation here.  Take the best player in the draft - a potential generational Edge rusher OR a haul of picks.  I don't see it unfolding any other way.

What were people expecting? Better football than the NFL? NFL games are boring sometimes, too. It’s football. It’s decent football at that.

Granted I’m rarely bored by football. So there’s that.

I wasn’t expecting NFL level but I was expecting entertainment - meaning some unique aspects never seen before.   There has been some of it so it’s interesting but I remember the old XFL being quite a bit more entertaining.   So far.  To be fair it’s the first half of the first game.

We took Carlos Rogers at 9.  No one expected Aaron to be there. He was expected to be gone. Yet we locked in on Campbell the day before with the Denver trade. That’s the idiotic move Vinny made. He had a higher grade on Jason Campbell than Aaron Rodgers. Joe Gibbs isn’t without blame on that one as well...

This assumes that Rodgers would have become the Aaron Rodgers we all know if the Redskins (or several other teams) took him earlier in that draft.  One could argue that Rodgers might have never had the success he had if not drafted by the packers.  Who knows but I would say that there isn't a guarantee he or Brady or Wilson (etc.) have the careers they had if not for certain circumstance.  That whole nature verses nurture argument perhaps.

Perhaps in another universe Jason Campbell gets drafted by the packers and becomes the G.O.A.T.  Well ok now I'm just being silly.

Not without pressure to do so in my opinion. I could see him making him QB coach but not handing him the offense with only the single year of experience.

Ok ok ok.  We get you are not a big KOC fan and feel Ron won’t pick him unless he is forced to.  Thanks.

KOC has a single year of experience as an OC under the thumb of 2 offensive minded coaches. His team produced the second worst record in the NFL and worst passing ranking in the entire NFL. KOC has no business being handed the offense.

Haskins fanboys are worried if he loses his buddy KOC he might pout. This is what it’s actually about. No one cares about KOC otherwise and his 32nd ranked passing game. It’s absolute absurdity to make him OC.

Ok - but how much of that 32nd ranked passing game is on KOC and how much is on Callahan, Haskins, supporting cast etc. Im fine either way and trust Ron in the decision but if KOC is kept I don't think its an obvious statement that Dan is putting pressure on Ron to keep him.

I think whomever ends up being the OC it will be solely a Ron Rivera decision.  And Im so happy about that.

Ron would never make KOC his OC absent pressure from Dan.

Hmmm... what makes you say that?  I honestly think Ron is a straight shooter... if he thinks KOC is a good fit and what will equate to wins then he will hire him.

Ron is obviously treating his coaching selection like he's going to do with players.  Look out, nobody is going to be given a job - it's going to have to be earned and with full out effort.

Personally I like this approach.  It's refreshing.  If it doesn't fit with KOC so be it.  I was surprised he didn't give Haskins more of a vote of confidence but after thinking about it I think thats the way to do it too.  He means what he says... no one is entitled here.  Earn your damn spot.  Best players play.  Best coaches are hired.  Sounds like how a professional team is supposed to be ran - just not used to it around here.

Again this is the best Ive felt about this organization in a decade +.  Ive bought in.  In Ron I trust.
