That's a bargain, if you work it right. Eat lunch and dinner there every day for the full 7 weeks, that works out to about one dollar per meal.
I dunno, are you factoring in the costs of having a heart attack or some other medical issue in to that?

I started Breaking Bad about a year ago... and now i have watched about 4 or 5 episodes.
i "like" it every time i watch, but i am never dying to watch it. it just hasn't dragged me in the same way the wire/true detective did.
i still will watch it...eventually. but i just haven't felt the NEED to do so.
Completely agree. BB was boring until Saul showed up and medicore until the last season.

The League
30 minute episodes. Good, dirty humor.

Wife chose teal to paint the dining room in. As I'm cleaning off the rollers, my hands and forearms are covered in the paint. Looks like I just ripped apart a village full of Smurfs

Enjoying my Sam Adams Summer Ale.
Has the bottom dropped out on the IPA thing yet? Everywhere I go, they seem inundated with IPAs.

Not sure if I agree with this move or not, I think he is pretty valuable to our team
Have to free up payroll. Leonsis wants to make dat money off last season's success.

Yea, if they dump humanity's pursuit of betterment, then it's not Star Trek. It's a remake of BSG with Star Trek dressing.

Wow.... I didn't know any of these were out there....
They released a 3 hour Enterprise Documentary on Jan 2014? "Star Trek: Enterprise - In a Time of War" with the original case of the Enterprise a 90 minute documentary about the story arch's of the third season of that show?
and they are releasing Axayan and Prelude to Axayan filmed as shorter documentaries with some of the original cast members of Enterprise... Excellent.
There's been some strong beginnings of fan films/series. It's pretty impressive.

I dunno. I don't see him as the guy to take the Wiz to the next level.
On the other hand, I don't think it's going to matter with no change at the GM level.

ABQ, that sounds a little like BSG. Only a few non-Borg remaining, fighting a guerrilla war.

I liked that SG-1 was campy and didnt take itself seriously

I can't imagine ST letting that happen, given how family friendly it has been, historically.
I don't think giving it cursing or sex is going to work. ST is different. It's more cerebral. More based on morality. You're going to have to play that up along with the tech factor if you want to get the bulk of trekies to watch.

If Minnesota were in the East, Love probably would have been in the playoffs by now.
Love's a pipe dream anyway, can't imagine he's in a hurry to reunite with the guy who told him to stop shooting 3's.
Simple solution: Wait until next offseason when he's a free agent. Fire Whitman. Sign Love and a new head coach. One who's a good schemer.

What could they do that would placate the "old" ST fans, but also gain the attention of "new" fans?
-
Thats what we used to think and we ended up with Enterprise and the last two seasons of Voyager.

Battlestar on Sci-fi was handled pretty well. "basic" cable I guess.
I think that doing an after TNG/DS9/Voyager thing would mean they could guest star those characters just aged a few decades.
It was a huge gamble and Battlestar didn't have nearly the following/history that Star Trek does.
What do we base this new series on? Do we want it like TOS and/or TNG? Do we expect it to be more like the movies (more action oriented)? How much exploration vs continuing plots?
I agree that the premise of Voyager was the most interesting of all the series. It was poorly written and executed, but the premise was great. The best star trek, IMO, is the last three season of DS9, but even they fell short of what I would have wanted.
I don't know what I want so I don't have an answer.
-
Sounds more like wishful thinking. Can't see how a new ST would get picked up on a legit network. Does UPN still exist?
-
If they're not going to call fouls, the Wiz need to start committing hard fouls. Questionable fouls. Force the refs to call stuff.
-
Honestly, if I didn't know better, I would have no idea the Wizards were playing a playoff game.
-
Glad they won last night. Would have sucked to end the season on 4 straight losses like that.
-
I don't understand why Wall wants to be a jump shooter. Speed and cutting is his game. He needs to get in the paint. The Wiz were quite successful when they put pressure on the paint. Hibbert should be getting in foul trouble all the time.
-
It is what it is. Hopefully Wall and Beal learn and improve next season.
