1. Haha.

You eat some salad, a breadstick or two, a little of the pasta, the diet beverage of your choice, then push away from the table.  For a buck, plus tip.

Just because it's all-you-can-eat doesn't mean you have to tuck in for a marathon Gorge-Fest.

It's unlimited breadsticks and you're only going to have two!? UNLIMITED BREADSTICKS

  2. That's a bargain, if you work it right.  Eat lunch and dinner there every day for the full 7 weeks, that works out to about one dollar per meal.

I dunno, are you factoring in the costs of having a heart attack or some other medical issue in to that?

  3. I started Breaking Bad about a year ago... and now i have watched about 4 or 5 episodes.

i "like" it every time i watch, but i am never dying to watch it. it just hasn't dragged me in the same way the wire/true detective did.

i still will watch it...eventually. but i just haven't felt the NEED to do so.

Completely agree. BB was boring until Saul showed up and medicore until the last season.

Wow....   I didn't know any of these were out there....

They released a 3 hour Enterprise Documentary on Jan 2014?   "Star Trek: Enterprise - In a Time of War" with the original case of the Enterprise a 90 minute documentary about the story arch's of the third season of that show?

and they are releasing Axayan and Prelude to Axayan filmed as shorter documentaries with some of the original cast members of Enterprise... Excellent.

There's been some strong beginnings of fan films/series. It's pretty impressive.

  5. I can't imagine ST letting that happen, given how family friendly it has been, historically.

I don't think giving it cursing or sex is going to work. ST is different. It's more cerebral. More based on morality. You're going to have to play that up along with the tech factor if you want to get the bulk of trekies to watch.

  6. Battlestar on Sci-fi was handled pretty well. "basic" cable I guess.

I think that doing an after TNG/DS9/Voyager thing would mean they could guest star those characters just aged a few decades.

It was a huge gamble and Battlestar didn't have nearly the following/history that Star Trek does.

What do we base this new series on? Do we want it like TOS and/or TNG? Do we expect it to be more like the movies (more action oriented)? How much exploration vs continuing plots?

I agree that the premise of Voyager was the most interesting of all the series. It was poorly written and executed, but the premise was great. The best star trek, IMO, is the last three season of DS9, but even they fell short of what I would have wanted.

    I don't know what I want so I don't have an answer.
