If we keep 36 and 40 I think Morgan is a safe bet for one of those picks. I'm curious who we target at WR. We didn't really address the position at all in FA minus a couple of ST/camp bodies types and this is a very deep class, but I don't think we brought in any for a visit.

Ill give you Trent but the rest of the OL was nothing special. We didn't have Moses or Scherff yet. Alfred Morris was a 6th round rookie and definition of system back. I'd take McLaurin over Garcon but its pretty even, but there was no other WR worth a damn. TE is a wash(old Cooley vs. old Ertz). Will definitely give you Shanahan over KK though, but at the time Shanahan wasn't really considered the same mind he is now. Most people thought he was a nepo hire.

Dallas is gonna be all over Barton. He fits that Cowboy 1st round OL pick to a tee and they are desperate for guys to play on the OL at all positions. Fits Barton's versatility perfectly.

His release is so lightning quick and fluid. Its gonna be fun to watch. Just gotta protect him. His OL at LSU was all world. McLaurin and Dotson are gonna feast and I hope we can draft a third to run along with them. Our offense should be like 2012 again but even better if Daniels is better than RG3 because the rest of the supporting cast is much better than what RG3 had. 10-7 and we steal the NFC East. Book it.

Daniels is gonna bring us national buzz and hype. Expect at least a couple of nationally televised games. I haven't bought a jersey since like....Cooley in 08 ish? I got a McNabb jersey as a gift in 2010, maybe if I can find it I can repurpose it as a Daniels one assuming he keeps #5.

Sheehan kinda talked about this earlier, about how guys might not want to play here initially but end up loving the area and stay here, raise families here etc. But you're right at this very moment this franchise has little to no real national buzz. The Patriots were a dynasty and are still relevant in many young people's minds. The Giants are NY. The Vikings have Jefferson.

Grant Paulsen is reporting what I've theorized in that Quinn and the coaches are the ones that really want Daniels. Ultimately it is Peters's decision, but as a first time GM he might acquiesce to his staff since Peters and Quinn have a strong relationship.

Of course if the Pats offer us picks to swap and we can still get the guy we want we'd take it. But again, why would the Pats make that trade? They know there is no way we trade with anyone else anyway, they can happily call our bluff, sit at 3, and take who is left.

Meh, everyone has preferences. But you play for who drafts you. That's how this works.

Mims isn't dropping past Pittsburgh at 20. They leak their picks every year and by all reports they're in on Mims.

1. Peters has already said they are happy at 2 and don't see a situation where they trade down. 2. If the Raiders move up to 3 they'll have to give up almost every decent asset they have. What will they have to give to move up to 2? They only make that trade if they know for sure Daniels will be there at 3, which they won't until actual draft day itself. There is no incentive for them to make that kind of trade this early. We need to stop coming up with these convuluted trade scenarios. We're sticking at 2 and we're likely taking Daniels.

Yep agreed. But Chad does know WRs and he's been high on Dotson for a while. I wanna see what he can do in a new scheme. He looked damn good as a rookie. Bienemy misused him and then put him in his doghouse. My guess is Dotson was one of if not the biggest guys that complained about Bienemy's style. I think he'll thrive in Kingsbury's more spread opened up offense.

That tweet report is trash. There is no way the Raiders move all the way up to 3 for just a 1st and a 2nd. Its just another random garbage twitter account. Pats aren't trading down unless its for an absolute motherlode haul and the Raiders aren't gonna move up to 3 this early when it doesn't even guarantee they'd get Daniels.

Both are great. I love Btjr but no way he drops past the teens.

Whats frustrating for me personally is that the last three drafts, there have been guys that I've loved and every single one of them turned out to be real good and we didn't end up with any of them. 2021: LOVED Parsons. Obviously he was taken way before us. Really wanted Darrisaw or JOK. We end up with Davis. 2022: LOVED Olave(probably the biggest Olave stan on here). Also really really liked Hamilton. Unfortunately we trade down, pass up on both, and end up with Dotson. 2023: LOVED Porter jr and really really liked Deonte Banks. Also really really liked Gonzalez but didn't actually think he'd be available, and really really liked Darnell Wright but he was taken way before us. We end up with 90 lb beanpole Forbes. And once again this year there is a guy I really really want and we're gonna pass on him. I hope for our sakes I'm wrong on this one.

Its gonna be Daniels/Maye 2/3. The question is who is picking 3. I don't see the Pats trading down. They've basically implied its gonna take a Hershel Walker-type offer and nobody does that anymore.

I'd rather he focus on being the best QB ever. Why add the running caveat? This coupled with his goal of winning the Heisman instead of winning a natty is just...concerning. He's everything I thought Williams would be. Not a bad kid but just...something is off character wise. God I really really hope we don't draft him.
