    I got a text again from the GOP/Trump campaign lol...for some idiotic reason they have determined I am a Republican, I guess...

     

    The link was to a survey. I clicked on it and decided to fill it out (couldn't submit it, though, because the only way you can submit your answers is if you donate).

    I would imagine that the state and AG would prefer getting the money instead of going through the hassle of seizing properties and bank accounts and trying to (I guess) sell off real estate to get the money. If so, then one more week won't hurt if he's somehow able to indeed come up with a solidly guaranteed bond (or just pay the entire thing in cash). I'm also unsure if giving defendants several attempts to get things right is the norm or not. It very well may be. It may not just be because he's Trump...

    "Republican Senate candidate Dave McCormick (PA) has implied that he grew up on a farm, claimed in 2022 that he had “started with nothing,” and described his parents as schoolteachers.

     

    In reality, McCormick is the son of a college president who later became chancellor of higher education systems in Pennsylvania and Minnesota. He largely grew up in the president’s sprawling hilltop residence, which students called the president’s mansion, at what is now Bloomsburg University.
