(Replying to Warhead36's last post)
If any team could pull that off (drafting 6th while winning only four games), it would be Washington. The more likely scenario, however, is them finding a way to win one or two more games. And if they did, I would hate them forever. And as a 50-year fan, I would make myself hate them by any means available (hypnosis, brainwashing, exorcism, voodoo, lobotomy, whatever). This evil hold they have on me will end in 2024!😠

I could live with 6th.
Not if they only win four of seventeen games. That would be a combination of having a bad team and bad luck, because we would probably have to come out on the short end on tiebreakers. And would that surprise any of us? Absolutely not. It's been this sort of foolishness for most of the last three decades.

They need to keep Rivera if we want a Top 3 pick.

we're down 11 to one of the worst teams
Actually one of the worst teams in football is down to one of the worst teams in football.

I officially moved on from this season after the loss to Seattle. So, I want Washington to get the highest draft pick possible. This is the first game in a long time that I am 100% convinced Washington will defeat the Giants. Simply because deep down inside I would rather they lose, although I cannot nor could I ever in real time actively root against them.
So they will absolutely win today, 27-17.

I am elated with the trade of Chase Young for a third-round compensatory pick. Was the 49ers the only team willing to give up that much?

Washington could actually lose out. This is the first game this season that I actually want Washington to lose (due to the draft). So, of course, they will win 23-20.
Added: To be clear, I will always root for Washington. Rooting for them to lose in not in my DNA. IMO, they have no chance of making the playoffs with their schedule, so I would prefer they have a top-5 draft pick.

They have to be one of the worst 3-4 teams in NFL history.

Am I taking crazy pills? Payne was the one who gave us a chance with the strip on Barkley?
No one said Payne had a bad game. His injury on the last play (fake or not) meant the Giants didn't have to punt.

Ron may lose this team after today
That first half said he already lost them.

Deron Payne with the final gift.😕

Washington out-gifted the Giants for the loss.

Howell's passes seem to lack zip. Not to mention he's thrown high all day.

If anyone is interested on how to lose football games, this game with both of these teams would be Exhibit A.

We're going to **** this up and win the game, aren't we?
No. The Giants completely own Washington.

Gift #2 from the Giants.

The Giants are so much better than Washington they would have to gift them the game to lose to them.

I thought I would take the conservative approach.

I mean like to a different Dolphin game…
Speaking of the Dolphins, they will score at least 50 on Washington.

It’s a coping mechanism. So many people thought this team was going to be good. We have an elite DL, drafted two DBs in the first two rounds, signed Wylie, have McLaurin, got EB.
They set unreasonable expectations. The D hasn’t been great in a few years.
I said ceiling was 10-7, floor was 6-11 with my belief we would finish closer to 6-11.
I have adjusted my ceiling to 8-9 and floor to 5-12.
I’m not the least bit surprised. But I hoped we’d at least be a little bit competitive
They really are bad enough to have a pick in the top 5, but somehow they've managed to win three games. Would them losing the rest of their games surprise anybody? Because they really are that bad.

What can one conclude about a team that gets dominated by two of the worst teams in the NFL? That it is one of the worst teams in the NFL.

Like the Bears did, they are being dominated by another bad team.

Me. Kind of.
I didn't think they would be as bad as they have been on D but I thought their offense would be poor. I'm not a fan of Mac Jones and they might have the worst collection of skill position players in the league.
Would you be surprised if they beat the Commanders? Because it's exactly what they're going to do.

This defense will not hold any team to less than 20 points the rest of the year unless the offense dominates TOP. Whatever score is predicted, Washington's opponent is good for at least 20.

The Jets defense will contribute to the scoring with an INT or fumble return for a TD and by handing their offense a short field via TOs and three and outs. Washington's defense will make no such contributions. This game is in the bag for the Jets...hopefully.😬
