  1. Awesome fan-made video. Hopefully UFC doesn't take this down. SZG0sNDa2JQ#!
  2. It is always considered a pretty big accomplishment to be a multi-division champ, and it gets harder and harder to cut weight as you get older. I think he should go down to 45 now. 55 will still be there.
  3. I'd give Frankie the title shot right away, and I think he has a good chance to beat Aldo. If the Aldo that fought Hominick shows up, Frankie wipes the floor with him.
  4. Hard to say anyone is more deserving than the guy who was guaranteed an imidiate title shot after coming over as WEC champ then have that taken from him after The Draw. If Miller wins he is only two wins removed from getting owned by Bendo, and those two wins would be Guilard, who sucks, and Diaz who is very inconsistent. The only knock on a Pettis title shot is his loss to Guida, but Diaz also has a loss to Guida. A Pettis fight just makes too much sense not to happen for a variety of reasons. --- I love the Maynar-Melendez matchup too (in fact, I'd love any Melendez UFC matchup. Guida, Frankie, Miller...), but didn't he just re-up with Strikeforce? I think when he does come over he goes right into a title fight (assuming he comes in as champ). In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they agreed to do that for him if he stayed in SF for a bit longer.
  5. Sorry, but giving round 2 to Edgar is Cecil People territory.
  6. Can't believe some of you guys and Edgar had Bendo losing. That was all Henderson.
  7. So I've only missed the Pettis and Hunt fights......:gus:
  8. When you showcase yourself for maybe 40mins a year, yeah, one fight can change your opinion on someone, and I think that can be fair sometimes. I was as disappointed in Condit. I liked both guys a lot, but was rooting for Diaz. More than wanting Nick to win though, I wanted to see a fight. When I tune in for a Machida, Edgar, Cruz fight I expect to see a point game with he eye for a finish if it presents itself. When I tuned in for this fight past experience told me it would be a war, so I was disappointed. At the same time if Condit was using the same strategy to beat a guy I don't like, I probably would have been happy with it. When GSP comes at him and he uses that footwork to avoid takedowns instead of exchanges, I'll cheer for it. That's on me. I completely understand what Condit did and why. Good for him, but it cost him fans and the perception of him as a fight has changed until his next fight. Whatever that's worth.... ---------- Post added February-8th-2012 at 12:55 AM ---------- Rogan kept pointing that out. Not sure what he was trying to accomplish with that, but I also saw him pull the shocker on Nelson when he was getting up from a take down. ---------- Post added February-8th-2012 at 01:01 AM ---------- I'm not sure more takedown attempts would have meant anything. Diaz isn't a double leg across the cage kind of guy. That isn't in his arsenal. Condit did such a great job circling away that Diaz just didn't have the opportunities for more takedown attempts. One thing that would have been interesting for Nick to do would have been to pull an Anderson Silva and stand there with his hands on his hips and waited for Condit to go forward for once. Or dropped to guard like Werdum. Anything to breathe cycle of stalking:backpedaling
  9. :goodposting: FU Condit. I thought you were going to come to fight, not try to out point someone.
  10. first row sucks. Constant ad in the circle for me. Tried 3 links. Also supper choppy, but that is probably just my crappy work connection.
  11. I'm so pumped for the fight tonight, yet have no guaranteed why to watch it. Hoping to be able to be around and find something. Almost thinking of waiting and downloading in the morning. I'm expecting this to be one the best fights I've seen which means I will surely be let down... I think Diaz shows he is a class ahead tonight. I'm a total homer here though. I love Condit, I just really think Diaz is in mid stride and it will take the very best to put a stop to his run. Diaz by sub after dropping Condit with body head combos. Werdum-Nelson is real interesting. I think Nelson is JJ savy enough to stay out of a sub so I think he wins a decision. Kos rides one out too.
  12. I haven't bumped it all the way up, but Rampage is definitely harder to beat than Wandy. Rampage was frustrating the **** out of me for the same reasons you just mentioned. Then I finally switched to playing as Rampage and won the first try on whatever difficulty I was on.
  13. Same here. I'm glad they changed the sub game. Still not sure if it's any good though. I kept playing the Pride rules and was enjoying it, but then I played as Anderson and he kept throwing spinning elbows over and over again. Lame. Looked like Bones does the same thing.
  14. Sonnen is brilliant on the mic. Here is another gem from him that is timely in this post-Tebow world of sports we live in:
  15. Some Dutch on Dutch crime. Grabbed this from mmamania Bas Rutten on Overeem-JDS Makes some sense. Patrick, defend your boy.
  16. Any of you play Fifa 12? I've been digging the BAP online games. My Xbox id is in my sig.
  17. I love how Aldo is holding Mendes' wrist while he turns putting him in the perfect spot for that knee. Aldo's only competition for the foreseeable future is Frankie Edgar. And that is going to be a hell of a fight.
  18. I'm having bad look with my 1st row links. Which ones are working for you guys?
  19. I've probably spent more time trying to electronically retrieve my list then it would have to count all the tapes, but so far here are some I have seen me list in old emails (and this was sent before I really started trading and finding stuff on Ebay, so it is probably double): >NWA Title Changes 1961-1991 (every title range in those 30yrs) >CMLL PPV: 3/00 (Mexican fed) > >Jim Crockett Sr. Memorial Cup III (’88) > >Best of Wrestling Gold vol. 1 > >Lords of the Ring > >INDY’S > >NCW Wildside Chrismas Chaos > >XPW Baptized in Blood II (death match tourny) > >ACW Great 8 Tourny ’97 (cruiserweight tourny) > >ECWA Super 8 Tourny ’01 (cruiserweight tourny) > >Best of’s > >Best of Great Muta: Legend of Muta > >Muta Premium Issue > >Best of the Great Muta vol. 4 NWO Muta > >RF Video Best of Dynamite Kid >The Best of Dynamite Kid in Stampede > >The Best Of The British Bruisers > >Best of Ric Flair in Japan > >Greatest matches of Eddie Gilbert > >The Best Of Low-ki vol. 1 >The Best of Stan Hansen > >Best of Hayabusa Vol. 2 > >Rob Van Dam “he’s the whole ****in’ show” > >Best Of Sabu & RVD:Rolling Thunder Tour (varies) (2hrs) > >Best of Chris Benoit >Benoit vol. 2 > >Best of Lance Storm > >Best Of Chris Jericho >Taz- **** the World > >TAZ Path Of Rage >Best of the Gladiator Mike Awesome > >Jushin Liger Special Issue > >Best ot Tajiri vol. 1 > >Best of Taka Michinoku > >Japan > >World Pro Wrestling: Bam Bam Bigelow And Friends >Toryumon TV: Two Blocks* 4 hrs. their first set of TV shows, in 1999: >AJ TV: June 2000 >AJ Tokyo Dome: January 28, 2001 >NJPW PPV: 12/14/00 >ALL JAPAN SUPER POWER SERIES 1998 >ALL JAPAN 5/2/99 TOKYO DOME SHOW - VOL 1&2 >ALL JAPAN NEW YEAR'S GIANT SERIES 2000 >NEW JAPAN TOP OF THE SUPER JR TOURNEY 95 > >BEST OF MITSUHARU MISAWA V TOSHIAKI KAWADA > >New Japan Super J Cup 95 >NJ: Super Jrs 97 > >NJ: Super Jrs 99 > >* IWA KING OF THE DEATH MATCH > >J-Crown ‘96 > >ECW > >GANGSTAS PARADISE 95 (16/9/95 1HR41MINS) >BIG ASS EXTREME BASH 96 (8/3/96 + 9/3/96 2HRS40MINS) > >WRESTLEPALUZA 97 (7/6/97 2HRS 27MINS) >HEATWAVE 98 P.P.V. I was pretty geeked out back then. Here is my Wrestlemania 21 prediction email. I don't get most of the jokes I made back then.
