  1. Not who I was thinking of... I don't see Carwin or Cain beating Brock any time soon. Dana White needs to work hard on finding someone that can beat him and promoting the crap out of that fight. Fedor would be great if he could get him. Think about the marketing, the hated Lesnar (who also happens to have quite a large fanbase as well) takes on the hero figure and consensus p4p top fighter in the business Fedor. Ratings would be absolutely stupid for that fight. The undercard could feature circus clowns versus turd throwing monkeys and that pay-per-view would sell.
  2. Yes, and for some reason I think there was a third... But for the life of me I can't remember his name.
  3. Agree with you 100%. If Brock goes to the ground and he gets any kind of opening, your face is hamburger. If you can stand up and stagger Lesnar he might be able to be knocked out, or rocked hard enough for someone to take advantage and get him down and submit him quickly. But you're not going to do it going for quick take downs and fighting him on the ground... Again, unless Brock makes a mistake.
  4. Josh Barnett was a pro wrestler in Japan as well.
  5. Machida wouldn't stand a chance, either. I think Lashley could probably hold his own in about a years time if Lesnar doesn't improve as well... But if Lesnar keeps training hard and staying hungry, Lashley won't stick with him either. I don't think Fedor beats Lesnar, but right now, Fedor is the only real hope to beating Lesnar soundly. Others might be able to beat him off of a stupid mistake or one good kick... But if anyone is going to go in and leave no question on a Lesnar defeat, it's Fedor. And I just don't think Fedor can beat him. Not now.
  6. GSP could get him to tap, sure... Problem is, he has to get him down and in a position to get him to tap. If you think for one second, even if Lesnar trips on sweat and falls face first into the canvas that St. Pierre would be able to get Brock into any kind of submission without Brock tearing one of his limbs off, you're insane. GSP would have the same problem everyone else would have. He can't outmuscle him and Brock is too fast and is too good a wrestler. GSP wouldn't stand a chance. I obviously have a very unpopular opinion on Fedor as far as p4p fighter goes... But GSP beating Lesnar is a bit... uhm... out there.
  7. Me saying Machida, Silva and GSP should be the discussion for p4p best and not including Fedor doesn't have anything to do with iFedor's win/loss record/accomplishments. It's more an indictment of the weight class he fights in. I think the HW weight class is weak as a whole. I think those other guys have much tougher roads to plow and I think p4p they are better fighters. I'm still not seeing why it's so funny. If you noticed, I didn't list any HW as a top p4p guy. I'm just not sold on the division.
  8. Why is it laughable? I have an opinion that differs from yours. I don't think Fedor could handle Lesnar. You do. We disagree. Big deal. You agree with everyone who says Fedor is p4p one of the best. I don't. That's okay. Nothing. The haters just want to see Mir get handled AGAIN. ANd when Lesnar beats him again, they'll make more excuses. He flipped them off because of the constant disrespect they've shown him. Mike Tyson strung together a pretty damned good career. Not sure what your point was here... I would be shocked if they did say something. That alone is going to draw so many more fans to UFC it's incredible. Brock is going to bring people in to watch the sport. He's entertaining and an animal. Like him or hate him, people are going to watch his fights. So why fight Mir again? The fight Mir won, Mir got the crap kicked out of him and Lesnar stood square in full posture offense and got knee barred. Lesnar did it to himself. Otherwise, Mir has gotten completely and utterly dismantled by Lesnar. If I was Mir I'd turn down a third fight. He loses one more time to Lesnar and he's WAYYY at the bottom of the heap again. You say he has shown no talent and then say he shows good wrestling ability. Which is it? Weren't the fans booing him? So weren't they insulting him? Wasn't Mir talking a whole crap load of trash prior to the fight? And why do you care about the sponsor? Look, MMA is a beautiful artform the way some fighters do it, and other guys are complete barbarians. If you want class, go watch croquet. This is a violent sport. Hendo didn't need to do the flying elbow to Bisping, but he did. That was more classless than anything Lesnar did, but most people are only complaining about Brock because he used his middle fingers and talked trash about Bud Light.
  9. I think Lesnar would straight ***** Fedor. I'd leave him out of the p4p argument. Machida could definitely be in the conversation. Torres... Eh. BJ Penn a few years ago, yes. He's still good, but not the best fighter p4p at the moment.
  10. I'm a huge Lesnar fan. 1) Because of all the haters. 2) Because as much as I enjoy the technical aspects of MMA, I also enjoy a good face pounding. Brock is an animal. His post fight antics were on par with alot of the people who oppose Brock. Childish. I agree. But that said, there are people that hate Brock due to the fact he was a pro wrestler and alot of those same people are fans of Josh Barnett, who was the same. Brock is the best thing to happen to UFC as far as marketing goes. It's not even close. Who's a bigger draw? GSP? No. GSP is a great talent, and pound for pound he and Anderson Silva are the only two in the argument, in my opinion... But, neither of them are the face of UFC. Brock may have just cemented his place as the face of UFC and maybe even MMA. Ask the average MMA fan who they know that fights MMA and I almost guarantee Brock will be one of the names they list. The middle fingers? The trash talking? Mir was pretty childish pre-fight at times as well, and that doesn't make me think any less of him. The post fight stuff was all a marketing ploy, and like it or hate it... It's going to work. Brock is here to stay. Hop on the bandwagon or cheer against him, but one way or the other you want to see the man fight.
  11. I'm a HUGE Brock Lesnar fan. I was wearing a DeathClutch T-Shirt at the bar watching it. Out freaking standing outcome as well.
  12. Sherdog aggravates me. I keep registering over there... And then a day later I re-register to see what's going on and my account is deleted. Yes, I follow the activate account emails.
  13. Comparing Lesnar to Hitler is a bit over the top, don't you think? I just don't understand how you could say you don't like the guy as a person just because of what you've seen on TV. Alot of these guys put on a show for the fans every time the camera is on. You don't know him as a person. He hasn't killed millions of people. He hasn't even killed anyone as far as I know. Not liking the Lesnar you see on TV is entirely different than not liking him as a person, but that's your call to make, obviously. You're allowed to judge however you want.
  14. How can you hate Lesnar as a person? Do you know him personally?
  15. Had my first MMA session today. We did grappling... transitions, submissions and just rolling. Was a ****in blast.
  16. GSP is a guy that I can't figure out if I hate him or like him... He's a polarizing figure in the MMA world. Although I'd argue Lesnar to be the most polarizing figure... Gotta turn my sigs off now because every time StillUnknown posts my screen lags to oblivion
  17. I watched the Liddell/Evans fight last night on SpikeTV. The Ice Man got KTFO. Holy crap.
  18. Well, I really hope this isn't true, despite the reports... But I'd be hanging out in virtual reality if I thought the report was going to change. Damnit. Your wife and your little boy!? ****!
  19. I was listening to Rover's Morning Glory which is based in Cleveland but is played in Rochester and they had a caller this morning from Memphis who refused to come on the air. But he said that he trained with Benoit alot, and Benoit owed ALOT of money to the people he gets his growth hormone from and he says it's going to come out that Benoit probably watched his wife and son get killed in front of his eyes and then he took his own life afterwards. Again, take it for what it's worth, a rumor.
  20. I love the arrowhead helmet. In fact, I loved the 70th anny jerseys. Make a white one and we're looking slick.
