SYRIA It seems Assad has lost most of his country now. Homs, Latakia, Daraa, Douma, Banyas, have all pretty much revolted (along with a few smaller places across the country), although some of these have calmed a bit. More big things happening in Syria today. Tens of thousands protesting across the country. They tore down just about every picture or banner of the president and his father in the city over the weekend. There were of course also around 50,000 protesters from there who marched into the capital before being dispersed on Friday.

This does not apparently include those convicted or alleged to be perpetrators of crimes.
