  1. Every other team left in the playoffs has better big men coming of the bench than Booker. Just because a team has bad enough depth to make you a key rotational player, does not mean you were developed properly. And that is exactly the problem with this team. It is built on a really poor foundation. Aging veterans who are past their prime and maxed out on salaries.

I really hope as a fan base we don't lose sight of the bigger picture. We have two great pieces in Wall and Beal and the last thing we need to do is pull an Atlanta Hawks and become the perennial 2nd round exit team because we gave bad contracts to veteran role players and never allowed financial flexibility for taking the next step.

And this means not signing Ariza to some ridiculous contract. Yes he has been playing at a higher level this season but with Otto and even Webster getting more minutes we can replace his production. Love the guy now though

  2. Live by the sword, doe by the sword, except it didnt have to be that way! Pool played an ignorant match against Chelsea by trying to boss them and the same mindset has now buried them for good.

I know everyone loves beautiful football, but closing shop for two or three games would not have changed anyone's opinion of how Liverpool plays. Now they just look like fools, maybe they will learn but unlikely.

  3. God, we controlled this entire game.

We are much, much better than Indy. I don't know what will happen in this series, but I do know we are the better team.

I don't think anyone has bullied Indy like we will be able to as well as beat them outside. If they can limit the turnovers (tough for a young team) and make free throws (tough for any nba team) then we have a chance to do big things.

  4. I thought Chelsea dodn't need Mata because they had plenty of attacking threats.

See I completely agree with this, yet Mata didn't contribute much yesterday so kinda makes this null.

Chelsea is toast guaranteed third auto Champions league, now its all on Reds tomorrow and we'll see if ManC has enough composure to finish it off.

  5. Honestly thought Chelsea created the better chances to score and were unlucky not to get a penalty on flanagan handball/ Kalas missing an open header off the corner. Of course Sakho could have had a brace himself wasting LFC's two best chances.

Title race is not over yet though with City still to play at Goodison Park, they often look shaky away from home.

  6. Apparently UEFA have issued a statement saying that Courtois will be considered eligible for selection whatever any contract between Atletico and Chelsea may say. There is further talk that the contract between Atletico does allow for him to play against Chelsea but only for a sizeable fee.

I think he will play but there may be lawyers around payment!

Here is my problem with this. UEFA created and is trying to implement FFP, which while good in theory has led to Chelsea's massive stockpile of talent on loan, and tricky clauses like this one where they can make money to support their club, but now they have a problem with a club trying to make money based on a contract that both parties agreed to. Something something have your cake and eat it too UEFA.

Personally I don't believe a loaned player should be able to play against their parent club,  but the fan in me wants to see the best players play at the highest level.
