Not necessarily the most realistic simulation but I'd be more than okay with that draft.

The least realistic situation is Arizona trading up to draft a qb...but regardless of the team, this is a fantastic draft, hits every need in the right spot. Would love to see this go down.

Let me start with you never know when it comes to college QBs.   And I am not pretending to be an expert or have a definitive opinion on any of these.  I am just guessing.

IMO, Mac Jones simply doesn't have the attributes that the top 4 QBs do in this draft.  Lawrence has everything -- arm strength, mobility, accuracy.  Fields has mega mobility, good enough arm strength and is accurate.  Zach Wilson is an escape artist in the pocket who can throw the ball off platform, has good accuracy, etc.  Lance to me is the hardest to figure out of the top tier guys but he has elite traits so if he puts it together he could be special IMO, I don't think Mac has elite traits.

Mac Jones to me is a pure pocket passer.  Good deep ball.  Good arm strength but not great.   IMO his touch is so so.   He's not a throw off platform make things happen when the pocket breaks down kind of guy.  He's my favorite of the 2nd tier types but it wouldn't surprise me if he ends up being a dude who is a competent NFL QB but is nothing special,.

What a great post, this should be pinned to this thread. Completely nails modern NFL QB philosophy. While most wouldn't mind one of these other guys (Jones/Trask) in late round 1/early 2, they don't possess the dynamism and upside of Fields/Wilson.

  3. Never really understand why clubs wouldn't sell a player who clearly doesn't want to be part of the team.

Exhibit A: Dmitri Payet situation last year pretty much destroyed West Ham.

  4. Chelsea will most likely finish 17, 18 points above Liverpool, and Arsenal. Not even comparable to these two. A better comparison is between these three and Tottenham. Manchester clubs have silly money so they also should be held to a different standard.

They would be in a lot of trouble without Ibra.

Wouldn't be surprised if he gets a red from the FA after throwing elbows today. Granted I think it was good on him to do so, but still.

  6. Heard a rumor that a Chinese team will be buying Teixeira for the €35 mil that Shaktar wanted....

While the other signings like Ramires and Jackson Martinez have been a joke this would be eye raising.

  7. Also, take this for what it's worth, but Metro reporting Chelsea are trying to close a deal with Dani Carvajal. Would be pivotal for us as we could bump the struggling ivanovic back to the middle where he belongs and shore up our right side, leaving azpi on the left.

Please never use Metro as a source... they still report bs like Suarez will be back at Liverpool and Neymar at Utd this transfer window...

  8. Good signing for Everton, for a player who did not get on well with mgmt at Chelsea and both wanted out. Will definitely help Everton stay in the 6th spot over Tottenham.

Lukaku did not want to play for Chelsea because he wouldn't be top dog. And the only starts he would get for Chelsea would be against mid table to lower table teams who pack the box, technicality is not his strength.   Only way it really hurts Chelsea is if Costa gets hurts and they have to rely on Torres once again..

Trevor Ariza w/ interesting take on job with Wiz. "I actually had to lead players that were better than me." Think that might come up again.

Leaders (and even Captains) don't have to be the most talented or even best player on a team. They have to be someone who is respected in the locker room, who others will turn to for advice or someone who will lead the team into battle through their everyday effort and determination (Jeter, Philip Lahm).

Many times the talented captain. (Ovi, Ronaldo, etc) is not the best guy for this. Sad to see that Ariza didn't recognize this but don't see this as a slight towards the young guns on this team.
