  1. Good luck to Sam. I'll be following his career from afar. He balled out for this team a few times. He does have heart. I think this means we draft Maye. Those two did not really want to compete with each other on the same roster. Seattle gets a really cheap backup. Good deal for both teams. Excited about this draft!!
  2. Nowhere near familiar. Snyder would sign free agents to HUGE money deals with multiple years. The exact opposite of what is happening here. Just because we are signing quantity (because of dire need) is no reason to confuse it with what Snyder did. The only thing I agree on is that nothing else matters, except the play on the field.
  3. If nothing else - this signing shows other star players that it's cool again to sign with Washington. That alone makes this a great signing. The production on the field is a bonus
  4. Interesting thought. My Brother is a diehard Broncos fan and he even suggested that move. If it happens, I'll have the full scoop on his play over the years. That said, maybe a Howell/Bowles deal gets done somehow? I got excited about 20 new posts, thinking we made a singing...but alas, it was all about steak šŸ¤£
  5. If we signed Smith, I still think we need to draft a LT in round 2. We need to groom a stud, as Smith wonā€™t be here too long. And the 2nd rounder can hopefully jump in a start at a decent level, when Smith gets injured (which will most likely happen sooner than later).
  6. Agree to disagree. I think if he lands in the right system (with a decent OC), then he can resurrect his career. Draft position doesn't factor here imo. Let's see what Sean Payton can do with him.
  7. Howell did not exactly get a fair chance to see what he could do. How easy is it to defend against a QB that you know is going to throw it 50 times a game? Also, as most have stated - that O-line was a disaster. I bet if you put Howell behind an average O-line and commit to a run game, he could at least be an average starter in this league (with a balanced offense).
  8. The only tea leaves I am reading is that if you trade Howell, there is a slightly better chance of drafting Maye. Those guys are really good friends and rather not be competing against each other. I think Maye has more or less said in interviews it would not be and ideal situation.
  9. If we trade Howell for let's say a 4th, we basically paid $6M to acquire that pick. With the way Peters can draft, it might not be a bad deal. I don't love choosing Mariota as our Vet QB (especially getting a raise from his last contract), but if Brian Johnson likes him, then I have trust.
