Unless you say something stupid about the Death Penalty like I did, Luther had to calm his *** down.  @Predicto  I was convinced after Trump won and you disappeared that you were somewhere pulling giant tires with metal chains on some Batman vs Superman ****.  Tell me I'm wrong.

That's fine, and I'm trying not to take to heart LBK calling him or any of us Moral Cowards.  We just disagree on this one, that's going to happen from time to time.

It's easy for LKB to talk.  Houston right now looks like the 2014-2015 Warriors - young, talented, hungry, and seemingly inevitable.

LeBron scares me.  He's transcendent and, when the playoffs start, he's going to show us once again that he hasn't aged.  He doesn't age and he doesn't get hurt.

He can’t be bargained with. He can’t be reasoned with. He doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And he absolutely will not stop, ever, until your team is photoshopped into fishing hats alongside Erneh and Chuck .

I would think the anti-tariff crowd in both chambers of Congress probably has veto proof majority.

Nope.  The rust belt pols from both parties are scared of the potential polical backlash of coming across as less than 100% "America First Yeehaw!"   And all GOP pols are terrified of getting labeled as a RINO if they cross the Trump, since Trump voters make up the overwhelming majority of the base that votes in GOP primaries.

Now that's just wrong (and I donated my beater suv to them). Lock me in a dark windowless room with a high quality audio setup and blast that for 24 hours straight, and there's no telling what horror show  would be on the other side when the door reopens.... Probably a pool of blood and flesh where I attempted to slice my ears off with a shiv, and bled out.

    Take it back

You can handle it.  Just be as strong as you can be.  Like a rock or something.

bad lyrics always stick in the head.

    Example:

    1-877 Kars for Kids

    K-A-R-S Kars for Kids

    1-877 Kars for Kids

    Donate your Kar today!

Never mind, I take it back.  That jingle actually is better than anything Seger ever wrote...

I don't know. Peter Navarro seems to have his ear, which is bad news for everyone because he is a terrible economist with awful ideas.

    https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2018-03-02/what-trump-s-trade-guru-peter-navarro-doesn-t-get-about-economics

oh christ how did I not remember that Trump listened to that moron Navarro.  He's an utter moron when it comes to trade issues.

"According to Politico, Navarro's economic theories are "considered fringe" by his fellow economists.[44] Al-Jazeera notes that "few other economists have endorsed Navarro's ideas."[45] A New Yorker reporter described Navarro's views on trade and China as so radical "that, even with his assistance, I was unable to find another economist who fully agrees with them."[46] The Economist described Navarro as having "oddball views".[47] The George Mason University economist Tyler Cowen has praised him as “one of the most versatile and productive American economists of the last few decades”, but Cowen noted that he disagreed with his views on trade, which he claimed go "against a strong professional consensus."[44] University of Michigan economist Justin Wolfers described Navarro's views as "far outside the mainstream," noting that "he endorses few of the key tenets of" the economics profession.[48] According to Lee Branstetter, economics professor at Carnegie Mellon and trade expert with the Peterson Institute for International Economics, Navarro "was never a part of the group of economists who ever studied the global free-trade system ... He doesn't publish in journals. What he's writing and saying right now has nothing to do with what he got his Harvard Ph.D. in ... he doesn't do research that would meet the scientific standards of that community."[49] Marcus Noland, an economist at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, described a tax and trade paper written by Navarro and Wilbur Ross for Trump as "a complete misunderstanding of international trade, on their part."[28]"

I just want to make sure I'm on record saying that I don't believe this is actually going to be implemented.  Trump gets mad and does dumb ****, because he is an angry dumbass.  There are smarter people around him that will change his mind (which is easy when your actions are not moored to any underlying reasoning or deeply held belief and, rather, are purely an expression of your id).

Wait, what?  There are smarter people around him?   Have you seen his staff, his appointments, his cabinet?

The thing about Pop/Kerr is that they are obviously wealthy men...however, they are completely in-touch with what's going on in many inner-city communities.  There isn't that disconnect that many politicians have regarding the plight that many minorities go through in this country.

Well, they actually know tons of black people, and have played and worked with them throughout their entire lives.

Not just Ben Carson and Omarosa.  :)

    You guys are all wrong.

The Magic statement was not the most McD5 moment.

The stock market thread was not the most McD5 moment.

The most McD5 moment was his description of his life as a high school bookie. He would make all his collections on Friday, then take the money to the beer distributor where he would get a keg. He would put said keg in the front seed of his car. And then drive to all the happening parties and serve all the fly honeys.

Because nothing is sexier than warm fizzy beer served from the front seat of a K-Car.

LOL  The only thing better than **** that never happened posts is **** that never happened posts that don't even impress anyone

It's kind of hilarious the departure of the leg humpers and horndogs who patroled ES is somehow pretty closely timed with like the four women who posted here also departing.

We still have a couple of fine ladies on here

Does everyone realize that my beloved Rockets are 30-1 when Paul, Harden, and Capella play together?

I know all you virgins are going to scream "playoffs!" but this is a historically great season, and this is arguably the best team in the league since the 2010 Magic.

It was a reference to McD5. A Tailgate legend, who was renowned for terrible financial advice and a weirdly homoerotic fascination with Dwight Howard and Brandon Bass.

    oh of course.   D'oh

In other words it's bull****. Amusing how easily people are duped.

You can't buy a shotgun in VA without going through the check, much less a semi-automatic rifle.

Not sure why this part doesn't matter to you:  "in the states that didn’t pass a tougher law, unlicensed private sellers are exempted from having to complete the background check process."
