  1. Watching DC sports is getting tougher and tougher. I'm going to start smoking crack or something to get through these games. Edit: I'm watching some WRC crashes to keep my foul mood going.
  2. At least there are some positives. Seraphin looked great. Crawford is a better player this year and I can stop ragging on him. Booker bounced back. Wall out there would have made the difference.
  3. 8 for 32 from three point land says a lot. Lots of guys with very little talent just chucking the ball up there. I was surprised at Crawford passing the ball on the break, that was nice to see. Waiters looked pretty good. I know it's just one game but I have that gut feeling EG screwed up again.
  4. If they are coaching Crawford to come down on a three on two break and immediately jack up a three with the other guys no where ready to rebound the ball, the our coaching staff stinks. Any guard in league can score 15 points a game if they are given Crawford's minutes and jacks up any shot he wants. How many guards in NBA last year put up as many shots per game as Crawford and had a worse shooting percentage: zero. He's that bad.
  5. Am I wrong in thinking Cartier and Seraphin could end up being very good players for the Wiz? I was really impressed with Seraphin. He had nice moves around the basket and had a very accurate shot. Cartier gave the team someone who could drain a long jumper, the desperately needed that. I don't hear their names mentioned much.
  6. Crawford hasn't seen a shot he isn't willing to jack up and plays out of control.
  7. Crawford can go away and never come back. I think the Wiz have done a decent job getting the bozo's off this team, just one more to go.
  8. I just hope Wall takes sufficient time to let the injury heal. Why rush back, it's not like they can go to the NBA finals.
  9. I see a 25-30 win season for the Wiz. If Beal is good and Wall learned how to make a 15 ft. jump shot, they can win more. That's too good to be true though. I'll continue to pull for the Wiz. Maybe some day before I die they can be good.
  10. I always try to expain to my wife that 30 seconds is actually a long time but she never buys it.
  11. I agree with this. This team is Wall, Beal and a bunch of roster-fillers. Wall has to be MUCH improved from last season and Beal has to be as good as EG thinks he is for this team to be a playoff team. I'm not holding my breath.
  12. This team needs a superstar in the worst way. There's no way we'll get a FA superstar so we need to draft one. Ernie only drafts awful tall white guys or point guards who can't learn how to shoot a 15 foot jumper. Maybe Ernie will get lucky, just once.
  13. A trade of medicre players is supposed to make us Wiz fans excited.
  14. I don't think Wall has improved at all. A little scary. Maybe getting a little bit of talent will motivate him some, hope so.
  15. "Ain't nobody got time for that!" is going to be my new email footer at work.
  16. That's how I'd use him too. He's good enough for that, just not good enough to be the starting shooting guard on a good team, IMO.
  17. Crawford is one of the dumbest players I've ever seen. I'm tired of seeing the team push the ball down the court and Crawford jacks up a crappy shot the second the ball touches his hands. Crawford is going to be one of those guys who can score 20 points a game that no good team will ever want starting for them.
  18. Seraphin looked good last night. He was making moves/shots around the basket that McGee could never figure out how to do. Why can't Wall shoot jump shots? The little kids at the half-time show were shooting from the outside better than him. He'd be soooo good if he could shoot.
  19. I would hope that somehow the Wiz can bring in a legit shooting guard this offseason. I can't stand watching Crawford. All he does is jack up stupid shots. The offense can't flow with him out there.
  20. EG cycling out more of his mistakes. That's about the only thing he's good at.
  21. The scary part is how little upside this team has. Wall is good but until he gets a jump shot, he will never be a superstar. McGee will be a decent center. Beyond that, no one else is worth keeping other than having someone cheap come off the bench. We all need to brace ourselves for a long period of losing. No major free agent will want to play on a crap team like this and EG doesn't seem capable of making good use of his high draft picks. That sucks, this city is craving a good NBA team.
  22. I only watched the 4th quarter but the Wiz were complete garbage. A complete joke of a team. EG needs to be fired.
  23. Really concerned about Wall's shooting percentage. You'd hope it would go UP in his second year. Still early but it's time to start making improvements.
  24. For the people who say that the Wiz's bad performance isn't a problem, this is a rebuild - this isn't the way to rebuild a team. You don't tear it down so completely that it is the worst team in the NBA. If you just put a total piece of garbage on the floor, you need a Lebron or Kobe to save your team. Wall isn't that player, hopefully the next high draft choice is.
  25. Suck real bad, get another top pick like Wall, have plenty of caps space to bring in a top free agent. Could work.
