Yes, spend some time wondering why your lawyers cost so much and you still lose
Let us know what you come up with
If only there was one constant that every one of these trials and charges and prosecutions (and losing) had in common.
Although I'd really bet that Trump knows these endless appeals are losers.
I mean, yeah, if he gets a judge who'll give him a freebie hed be ok with that.
But I'd bet that every one of his attorney told him that these things are doomed. And Trump was "who cares? As long as losing takes several months, I'll keep pulling that handle."

Good God. 45% of the respondents are unaware of RFKJr’s views on vaccinations? We’re ****ed.
Considering his chance of winning anything, I'm neither shocked nor dismayed if 45% of the public were unaware that RFK Jr existed.

I used to think that stories about somebody selling his soul were mythology.
Now, it seems to be rampant.

They (most of them) have figured out that looking like clowns costs them votes. Might cost them the House.
Why there wasn't a shutdown, for example.

Judge Merchan also ruled that Trump can attend son Barron's graduation. Remember all the indignant outrage that the mean-old biased judge wouldn't let poor family man Donald attend his son's graduation? Yeah, me too.
Just now, Cooked Crack said:I'm sure Trump is super happy he'll have to go to a high school graduation
$50 says he doesn't go.

At Disney Hollywood Studios. Andy's Lunchbox. Eating a grilled cheese sandwich, tomato soup, and a root beer float. For breakfast.

One could take that statement and run with it.

Since when is it legal to send death threats??
Since it's legal for Republicans to do anything.
If there's Republicans on the jury.
Just ask every Republican in Washington who voted to acquit Donald Trump.

I could hijack a school bus, crash it into Walmart, kill everyone inside and still get more support than if I kicked a dog. I get that people like dogs, but I think people go overboard with it. Why do we always need a "dog story" to beat the GOP in a presidential election?
Not at all sure "we need a dog story" to beat the GOP.
Maybe a better question is "why do we always have a GOP dog story?"

The Noem dog thing is funny because that’s how life is on a farm, and it shows how unaware of that many people are.
animals have jobs or purposes and when they fall outside that ability for whatever reason the animals are usually put down and often with a firearm. They aren’t cute things you pet and form bonds with, they’re just a cog on a wheel. Horses, pigs, cows, goats… dogs… they’re all treated that way.
it’s a great illustration of the fundamental disconnect between two core cultures in this country
farmers don’t have a use for a hunting dog that doesn’t hunt well. It’s just another thing to feed at that point and you don’t do that with animals.
it’s nothing close to dog fighting, and I saw that as someone that thinks what Vick did was horrendous but also he served his time so leave him alone about it 🤷♂️
That dog won't hunt.
(Sorry. Had to.)

"I think it's a righteous indictment, but it certainly didn't need to take this long" to charge, former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani told Salon. "Now, they're going to be really at the back of the line in terms of criminal cases."
Or maybe they'll be piling on, after said defendants have spent all their money on the first 5 cases.

I've already seen it here in ATL. While north and south GA are in play, I think Biden has the metro area (again).
But Biden doesn't need to win every county. He needs to win the state. Getting 1,000 more people to vote in Atlanta counts the same as getting 1,000 people to vote in Podunk.

Recall an ES poster once commenting that there are few environments more Darwinian than combat.
The things that we're doing? Other people are going to learn from. (Anybody think China isn't studying what's going on?)

Probably considered anecdotal but survey the people that live immediately around the base. You'll get much different results.
*speaking from personal experience.
Recall my dad telling me that occasionally the folks who lived outside the bases in Minessota would get irate about all the airmen everywhere, then the base would have a payday where everybody got paid in $2 bills. Not their entire pay. But every serviceman got at least 10 or so of them.
The idea was that for the next two weeks, every business in town would see those $2 bills in their cash drawer. And know that they came from the Air Force base.

Not linking WSJ directly since it's paywalled, but cnbc article is not paywalled. I cannot emphasize enough how terrible an idea this is. To any voter with an ounce of sanity, this has to be straight up disqualifying regardless of party leaning. If anyone wants an example how insane it is to have political concerns meddle with the central bank, just go look at the Turkish Lira since Erdogan's stupidity.
To someone who has, at least twice, proposed dealing with the national debt by "seeing if they would accept partial payments."

it’s a double standard. People don’t have a problem pointing at the actions of a few at certain right wing protests and using it to generalize about everyoneWhile there's certainly validity to the "few bad apples" defense, in some cases I think there's an argument to judging an entire group based on the extremists.
My #1 example would be to point out the things that Republicans actually legislate. And which they legislate in every circumstance where they can.

Although I do also have to say that there's some validity to the argument of
"If you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao

There is a legitimate concern for how Israel is treating Palestinians. But I’m not taking a bunch of 20 something’s who don’t know **** waving Hamas flags around seriously. The message is being lost because they jumped to the extremes. Or is your point that In order to get on the news you have to act like a crazy ass?I never said anything remotely close to the horse**** you're trying to attribute to me.
What I've done, is to respond to the positions that you have chosen to state.
They should be ignored. Because
* College students tend to be young.
* And "they" (meaning, you have seen cases where at least one person at one of the protests, so lets slap that label on their entire protest) have used a symbol you think they shouldn't.
2 hours ago, Renegade7 said:Bernie Sanders is Jewish, can folks really with a straight face say he doesn't understand the issue to be taken seriously, either?
Well, he is Bernie Sanders.
I tend not to take him seriously, even when he agrees with me.

I didn’t imply that it was. You asked me what they should do. If you want to argue with the clown take, feel free, it’s suiting.
Says the poster who's position is that every protester who's position he doesn't like should be ignored, until he can no longer find reports of one single person at the protest doing something.
