  1. FWIW, Keim kind of debunked that LV rumor on his last podcast. Said people he talked to about JD's preference was Commanders or Vikings because of the coaching staff.
  2. Something interesting Keim said on his recent podcast with Bram. People he's talked to say JD prefers Washington or Minnesota because of the coaching staff. I had not heard that he had a preference other the the rumors of him wanting to go to the Raiders.
  3. I keep going back to what Josh Harris said back in November. IMO, I think this staff is going to be given some leway and time to build correctly. I don't believe that includes "having" to draft a QB who is ready to start right away or has more game experience. Philosophically, these statements make me think it's Maye. https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2023/11/30/josh-harris-commanders-rebuild/ “We did as much as we could in six weeks,” Harris said. “But there’s a lot more work to do in the offseason. … We’re on a long journey.” “It’s a long journey,” he added. “ … There’s no shortcuts to the top. There’s shortcuts to the middle. You want to be 8-8? I can get you there quickly — 8-8-1. You want to be great? There are no shortcuts.”
  4. What Dan Quinn said about Sam....LOL “And certainly talent is here also at quarterback, going against Sam through this year and honestly a little bit from last year as well, you knew how talented this player was,” Quinn said. “The arm talent, the ability to create, and that’s what quarterback play is. Off-schedule plays when you can get outside the pocket; not everything is always clean and where you can go. We’re just getting started on the evaluation phase, so when you’re putting a whole program together, there’s free agency and the draft, and you’ll look at all the things to try to make the team better. But, I’m certainly impressed by the competitor that Sam is, that jumped out to me……how tough and competitive he is.” https://commanderswire.usatoday.com/2024/02/07/washington-commanders-coach-dan-quinn-praises-qb-sam-howell-caleb-williams-2024-nfl-draft/
  5. Standig on with Sheehan Friday, said he doesn't get the JJ swirl either so add him to the list of locals scratching their heads.
  6. FWIW, not to give too much credence to what the Junks say but couple weeks ago said scouts were leaning Daniels and Quinn/Peter's were not decided. That's what they (EB/Lurch) heard. As you said, Peter's is making the decision so no one really knows. We'll see.
  7. Yeah, Logan weighted 80% tape, 10% combine, 10% pro-day in the evaluation process. He also said this group got a late start (not a bad thing) due to staff assembly. He suggested they probably have a 'lean' by now but not decided.
  8. Logan Paulsen early on The Junkies made a good point. He's going to be listening to what they (Peters/Quinn) say over the next few weeks about the QB position. 1. Are they talking like they want a guy to start right away? That's Daniels or McCarthy according to Logan, more ready. 2. Or are they talking about a guy who needs to sit a few weeks before starting? That would be Maye.
  9. Good perspective and seen his opinion on many shows. However, drafting Caleb Williams is really not a "have to". You run to the podium if that happens.
  10. Yeah, I wasn't saying that as an absolute but something he did mention. I will say, hearing from all the local reporters, Peter's and group are very tight lipped and aren't leaking stuff.
