TheSteve
But the overpaid Evil Empire Yankees are making a move. So much for last place.
TheDoyler23
Playing Oakland, then Seattle, then Oakland, then Seattle is good for the record. They're 2 of the 3 worst teams in the American League at this point!
TheSteve
Right. And all 26 of Baltimore's wins have been against top teams.
Zen-like Todd
So Steve, what you are telling us is that the only team behind the Yankees in the AL East is Tampa Bay. How proud you must be of your 200 million dollar juggernaut.
TheSteve
It's May Todd. Despite our awful start on the season, it's may and we're only 4.5 games back from first place. Now granted, with a 200 mil payroll you'd probably expect domination and greatness, and it would be understandable to assume that we would walk away with the championship, but such assumptions and expectations aren't grounded in reality if one expects them to come to fruition overnight. The Yankees have been notorious for their slow starts the past few years and this year seems to be no exception. So while I may not be proud of the fact that it's taken to months to put themselves back into decent position to take the AL East, I am comfortable with the situation given that we are still a month and change to the All Star Break and there's plenty of time to get our pitching in order. NASMTrainer
our, we're, we, we again, our. I didn't realize we had a Yankee player on the site. ...oh, and the Yankees still suck.
TheSteve
It may be gramatically incorrect but are you going to tell me you never do it with the Redskins?
