GoSkins420
An OFFICIAL hR Mock Draft Author: Akkhorus, hR Member Updated: 4/20/05 1- San Francisco: Alex Smith QB Utah 2 Washington(projected trade with Miami: Miami gets picks 9 & 25, Skins get pick 2 and DE Jason Taylor): Mike Williams WR USC -Taylor works salary cap wise for the skins. If they dump 1.5-2 million in salary. Which will almost certainly come in the form of dumping a couple DEs, Raymer and Rod Gardner. Taylor is owed 3 million this year(the skins wont have to pay Taylor’s massive bonus at all), if the skins give him a new deal, that figure would come down. So basically the deal is: for two first rounders, a 3rd and a 4th; the skins get Mike Williams and Jason Taylor. Pretty good deal in my book. Saban doesnt have a position for Taylor to play, he cant play the Edge LB in the 3-4 and he went out and signed Holliday and Carter. This deal makes sense on a lot of levels. 3 Cleveland: Braylon Edwards WR Michigan 4 Chicago: Ronnie Brown RB Auburn 5 Tampa Bay: Cadilac Williams Rb Auburn 6 Tennessee: Antrell Rolle CB/DB Miami 7 Minnesota (from Oakland): Troy Williamson WR SC 8 Arizona: Aaron Rodgers QB California 9 Miami(Washington) Cedric Benson RB Texas 10 Detroit: Derrick Johnson LB Texas 11 Dallas: Demarcus Ware DE/LB Troy 12 San Diego (from NY Giants): Alex Barron OT FSU 13 Seattle (projected trade with Houston-Houston gets picks 23,54): PacMan Jones Cb WVU 14 Carolina: Khalif Barnes OT Washington 15 Kansas City: Thomas Davis S/LB Georgia 16 New Orleans: Carlos Rodgers CB Auburn 17 Cincinnati: Travis Johnson DT FSU 18 Minnesota: Shawne Merriman DE UMD 19 St. Louis: Jammal Brown OT Oklahoma 20 Dallas (from Buffalo): Mark Clayton WR Oklahoma 21 Jacksonville: Marlin Jackson CB Michigan 22 Baltimore: Marcus Spears DE LSU 23 Houston(Seattle): Erasmus James DE Wisconsin 24 Green Bay: Fabian Washington CB Nebraska 25 Miami(Washington (from Denver)): Jason Campbell QB Auburn 26 New York Jets: Heath Miller TE UVA 27 Atlanta: Brodney Pool FS Oklahoma 28 San Diego: Reggie Brown WR Georgia 29 Indianapolis: Channing Crowder LB Florida 30 Pittsburgh: Matt Jones WR Arkansas 31S Philadelphia: Odell Thurman LB Georgia 32S New England: Darryl Blackstock LB UVA hR Game InfohR Team InfohR ExtrahR Team HistoryhR Draft/Camp InfoFan ForumhR ExclusiveshR ArchivesDepth CharthR Game CenterStatshR Power PollGame BallsCoaching StaffFront OfficeNew RedskinsRosterScheduleTransactionshR LinksAbout hRhR HistoryMarching BandFunky 4LegendshR's Best Ever SeriesOwnership HistoryCoaching HistoryRecord by OpponentRecord By SeasonDraft CentralhR's Mock Draft DatabaseDraft Selection HistorySkins Draft History ArticleFree Agent UpdatePlayer MovementCamp ReportsCamp Photo Albumthe ForumsA Cup of SchmoeAcross the PondFunky TakeSkinzaholic TwistYouth ReportRedskins Quick HittersArticles ArchivePoll ArchiveWire Headlines2003 Game Balls Archive2003 Archive PageshR's Best In the NFL
REDSKINS STOMP
No way. Why deal up for Mike Williams. He could still drop to us at nine. Plus, I really doubt the Dolphins just hand us Jason Taylor. That trade is a pipe dream.

SnyderShrugged
I don't like the williams at 2 pick, but the trade involving Taylor is interesting if we took someone else, or trade the pick away to another for a mid 1st and 3rd
Tarhog
Direct quote from Nick Saban (for what its worth): The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports Dolphins coach Nick Saban emphasized the team will not trade DE Jason Taylor. "Everything we have done is to build our defense around what Jason does best," Saban said. "He's an outstanding player and we want him to be a focal point of our defense. We will use him in schemes that best feature his talent. We have no intention of moving or trading Jason Taylor." (03/10/2005). Unless he's not being honest here, doesn't sound like its an option. And I have to agree, if we wanted Edwards this makes more sense.

TLusby
I like the thought of Jason Taylor but I would rather have Rolle instead of Williams by trading down at #2 to someone wanting Edwards or Williams.
Nerm
It's a fun thought but I think 9 and 25 wouldnt get you #2. If you wanted their Taylor... you would have to throw in your Taylor. Hey that makes sense... Sean likes to work out in Miami.
stupidsuck
You couldn't even get away with that in Madden
