GatorEye
Just saw on the news, we're currently in the 5th draft spot. I think it's possible we could draft as high as 3rd. This is good news.
Renegade7
What if we beat the Vikings? Edit: the only reason this is good is we can get more for our money once we trade down.
Mania
I heard on the Charles Mann show we were currently drafting 8th if the season were to end today.
Renegade7
ESPN has us at #5.

My source was a West Palm Beach tv station discussing the Dolphins draft position and how the were going to lose a lot of positions if they win next week. They showed the top 6 and had the Skins as 5th. I didn't see anything on NFL.com yet. A source up there in DC may be better. EDIT: ESPN has us at #5 as well. pr11fan
So we could be 5 if we lose, how far do we fall if we win, not that it's likely if we show the guts we did today.
jtyler42
Well 5th or 8th we will get an impact player if we keep the pick(ie Mike Williams) or more bang for our buck if we trade down... Either way U look at it, we are in a win/win situation for this draft....

Even more of a win/win if we still had our 2nd round pick instead of Brunell.
Montilar
It's probably 8th with tie breakers figured in. Someone said espn doesn't put the tie breakers in until the season has ended. Figure we will end up between 5 and 15, likely 11 or 12 so we will be low enough to not be able to work a trade down.
KevinMac
Three teams have 3 wins or less, so we can't break the top 3. And Montilar is right. The ESPN rankings are useless now. It says right below them that "rankings based only on standings, see elsewhere for tiebreakers."
BlitzFiftySix
Trade down for a 2nd round pick - use your newly acquired late 1st rd pick on David Pollack.

Prosperity
We have to trade down and get as many impact offenseive players as possible.

mookie0720
We could get big time picks from someone to trade down maybe twice in the first round to the bottom and pick up a D-linemen or O-linemen, really the only guy you can get at 5 for 5 value is Mike Williams, so trading down is a good option. 1niksder
Right now we sit at #7 http://www.draftcrazy.com/draftorder.html
GatorEye
Actually, looking at the current conference standing records on nfl.com we are drafting 9th or 10th (not sure if we would be ahead of or behind Oakland). We are currently ranked 11th out of 16 in the NFC so I guess my initial statement is wrong.
DonMagicJuan
wait....where does it say on espn that we have the #5th pick so far?
