cscmtp
is it true Coles was double and even occasionally tripled teamed? Things like that you can't see on TV, and i'm trying to figure out why he had such a quiet day. I envy you guys that get to see the games live. That must be so awesome! RySkins
At times he was because many plays we only sent 2 receivers out into pass patterns. However, there were also at least two plays where Coles got behind the defense and Brunell did not see him. One play in particular was on our second drive I believe where Brunell threw an incompletion deep to Cooley that was nearly picked off...on that play, he had Coles for a touchdown and missed it. Mufumonk
It was a PA pass to Rasby into double coverage. I even called the play before the snap. I was talking to the people in my area, saying "here we go, Coles in the back of the endzone off the Playaction", well there was Coles wide open. Brunell just made a bad read. SkinsLegacy44
harder to pickup on this in the lower level. i usually sit upstairs, but got lucky for this game. i did see portis streaking his way downfield towards the side i was sitting on. brunell didn't even look @ him. National Defense
there were a few times when coles looked like he was getting ready to break open and brunell dumped it short. however, the missed reads weren't that common--we just didn't really open up the deep playbook this game.
