Smith Back; Boschetti Released By Gary Fitzgerald Redskins.com September 9, 2004 The Redskins announced Thursday that they have re-signed linebacker Clifton Smith to the practice squad. Smith was with the Redskins during training camp and made the 53-man roster coming out of preseason, but he was released on Tuesday when the Redskins claimed linebacker Dominique Stevenson off of waivers. To make room for Smith, the Redskins released defensive tackle Ryan Boschetti from the practice squad. Smith, 6-3, 255 lbs., spent 13 weeks on the Redskins practice squad last season before appearing in one game for the Redskins at the end of the year, collecting one tackle against Philadelphia (12/27/03).
