Jennifer I know this isn't going to be too helpful, but as far as hotels you have to be somewhat careful if you are not familiar with the area. Just like everyone else who is driving you might have to stay in a hotel maybe 15 minutes minimum from the stadium. If you do a search, do the whole d.c. metro area.
