Art Posted September 13, 2001 Share Posted September 13, 2001 Stories of hate are going to become the norm. But what about anything positive? We won't see much of that. But, the way you overcome irrational hatred is by doing something about it. On Tuesday, on my way home, I stopped at my mechanic's shop. He's a Saudi national, who's now an American citizen. I walked in and he was sitting at the front, crying. When he stood up as I entered, actually looking frightened (I'm a big angry boy), I took his hands in mine and said, "Hang in there buddy. My wife and I are here for you if you need anything." I left as he was asking, "How could this happen to this country? Why?" Go out yourself and create something positive. If not you, who?
