Joey T
Don't we try LaVar @ MLB. He has the size 6' 2" - 6' 3' and 250 lbs. or thereabouts. Playing in the middle seems to be a natural considering his immense physical talents. He has speed and the power to close and kill. Has it been proved he has NOT the smarts to play the position? Just once, even in an exibition game, I would love to see him @ MLB for the entire game or the biggest part of it. I have dreamed of him playing MLB and wreaking havoc against offenses with his speed and power from the middle. Then again, maybe he can't YET shed offensive players blocks to make the plays from the middle. Is it lack of 'smarts' or a 'physical' thing that keeps him out of the middle? What does Urlacher(sp) have that LaVar doesn't? Thoughts???????
lynzskin
speed is his biggest asset. why would you move him to the inside where he has to think when you could put him on the weakside and see the play, react, and run his heart out.
Chachie
That's the problem, though. He gets moved too much and can't get a consistent coaching staff. Put the guy where HE wants to be, leave him there for 2 seasons, keep the same def. coordinator on the team so they can gel. Lavar will dominate with some consistency. It sounds so simple to us doesn't it? Wish it were that easy. Hopefully consistency started when Joe Gibbs came back and we see a different team (on both sides of the ball) this season. qb18_200400
Middle is harder to learn then OLB. It take a full year for LaVar to learn and not over pursure. Not going to happen
