Sites about Bush in the National Guard

Not trying to start any kind of flame war, just saw a couple of sites and was wondering about the authenticity of their information - if anyone knows how accurate any of this is. I went through some of the "Bush National Guard" threads before, I am not sure I remember a resolution.

There are a couple of interesting quotes...

http://www.awolbush.com/

"I am angry that so many of the sons of the powerful and well-placed... managed to wangle slots in Reserve and National Guard units...Of the many tragedies of Vietnam, this raw class discrimination strikes me as the most damaging to the ideal that all Americans are created equal and owe equal allegiance to their country." (Colin Powell’s autobiography, My American Journey, p. 148)

June 1970:

Joins the Guard's

"Champagne Unit," where

he flies with sons of Texas' elite.

November 3, 1970:

George Bush Sr. loses Senate election to Lloyd Bentsen, whose son is also in the "Champagne Unit."

It just doesn't seem that Kerry's Vietnam service is the greatest thing for Bush to be talking about. It might rank up there with what I feel was pretty blatant hypocrisy when Bush criticized affirmative action practices at Michigan (relevant sources:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/01/20030115-7.html,http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/01/20/timep.affirm.action.tm/). I am saying this from the perspective of one who doesn't really like either candidate all that much. It seems to me that with either choice the next 4 years are going to be painful. I'd probably choose Kerry today if I was forced at gunpoint to choose between the two (and by the way, I was a Bush supporter in the last election).

By the way- apologies in advance to those who feel this horse has been soundly beaten already.
