At the time, we had just let Shawn Barber go because one of the knocks against him (besides injuries) was that he essentially was a poor man's LaVar. Instead of signing a SSLB and moving LaVar over, we signed Armstead:doh: I really can't wait to see what LaVar can do without having to deal with the TE. wskin44 Posted March 5, 2004 Share Posted March 5, 2004 Don't overlook that Marcus Washington got 6 sacks last year from the strong side. Unlike Lavar, Washington doesn't mind lining up on third down from the down position. Right now that is how Williams plans to get pressure from both edges on third down.
