3DaysLatr
My head's hurting, bear with me. I tried to figure out what the penalty would be to unload Samuels. I think I've got it but I'm sure alot of you have a better formula. Here's what I've got right now. Original bonus: 10 mil for 7 years 2000- 1.43 2001-1.43 2002-1.43 total- 4.29 mil Still owed 5.71 over 4 years 2003- rolled 3.3 mil salary due into a prorated bonus New Bonus # 9.01 mil over 4 years 2003- 2.25 mil So ,Cap Wise, we owe him 6.76 mil over three seasons right? If that's the case I'm assuming this guy is un-moveable. Now I ask, am I the only one feeling really let down by this guy over the past two seasons? Also, does anyone (I kind of do) think that if Samuels gets to be aggressive in the blocking scheme that his play will improve. Basically, I'm wondering if anyone feels like this guy is a money pit and wishes his cap # were smaller so we could persue a guy like Derrick Deese? TheDarb
I believe the bad blocking scheme theory. Bugel will do wonders for Samuels. It may be a little rough going at the start, but by mid-season you'll see a stunning improvement in Samuels and the rest of the OL.
Buddha
With all the available cap space, there is absolutely NO REASON to get rid of Chris Samuels this season.
inmate running the asylum
With Bugel and Gibbs coaching now, and playing smash-mouth football with play-action passes, you will see Samuels return to all pro form.

I hope so because he's sure as hell getting all-pro money.... :thud:
bubba9497
Many of Samuels problems were personality conflicts with Helton.
Sire
This is my broken record post. The Skins O-Line will be one of the most improved in the NFL. The talent is there.
Mr. S
The line improved in the second half of last season, I dunno why there are still complaints. As for Samuels, there is nothing wrong with him, he still is one of the best, should get slightly less money, but is still worth keeping. Bugel likes the line the way it is now, and will hopefully make it work.
