bnacpa
We had to tag him by Feb 24th which is well before the draft. I think he is gone. It seems as if the Redskins feel that their final offer to him was at least in the ballpark of his value and his agent flat out refused. I am worried that the order of operations will be screwed up here ... I worry that teams will try and determine what they can give the redskins as possible compensation instead of two #1 picks. Once that is determined, then they will talk to Bailey about his demands. The potential problem here is that the Redskins may feel like they have already done so much negotiating work with a team to throw away picks that they start to count on when the team finally makes an offer to Bailey that isn't too far from the Redskins. Instead of just matching the offer, the Redskins may just make the trade happen. I don't see the Redskins negotiating terms with a team, just to pull away the contract at the last moment and match the offer to Bailey. Let's wait and see and hope that the best works out for us. In Gibbs we trust!!!!!

NavyDave
Tag him early so a deal is made early so we can keep the franchise designation for next year instead of the duration of Roland's contract
