stratoman
Don’t be shocked if the Redskins are one of the leading suitors for Titans free-agent DE Jevon Kearse. The team has also been connected to Bucs DT Warren Sapp, who is also a pending free agent. Owner Daniel Snyder loves to sign big-name players, and that won’t change with Joe Gibbs as coach Despite many other pressing needs, the Redskins reportedly are intrigued by two Miami (Fla.) underclassmen — FS Sean Taylor and TE Kellen Winslow Jr. — with the No. 5 pick in the draft Despite rumors to the contrary, there is almost no chance that DE Bruce Smith will return to the Redskins next season. A source close to the team says that the chances of Darrell Green returning to the team in a coaching capacity are similarly slim, though Green could assist the team in some kind of advisory role in the front office Among the positions that could see upgrades or major changes in Washington include running back and tight end, where Joe Gibbs always has favored having a strong blocker One of the hallmarks of Gregg Williams’ past defenses has been using a lot of man coverage, and sources close to the Redskins say that the new defensive coordinator might push for owner Dan Snyder to re-sign CB Champ Bailey, who can handle that duty as well as or better than anyone the team could find in the draft or through free agency Word around Redskins Park is that some of Steve Spurrier’s assistants have really turned on their former coach after he failed to contact many of them following his resignation One player the Redskins would like to develop and give more experience to is QB Gibran Hamdan, who could end up playing in Europe Don’t believe those rumors that Raiders senior assistant Bruce Allen is a candidate for a job with the Redskins — it’s simply not true according to sources close to the situation in Washington The one thing that could keep LB Jesse Armstead in Washington is if the Redskins hire Jim Fassel, who has remained close to Armstead Some people around Redskins Park have soured on RB Ladell Betts’ act, which has included missed meetings this season Some of this is a little old now that Mr Gibbs has been hired.....but I still thought you would like to hear it. Take it easy HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!!!
a_good_brotha
Sorry, but I don't think we can afford Jevon Kearse or Warren Sapp? I seriously doubt either of them will be signed unless they take a huge pay cut which I don't see. We have other priorities like resigning Champ Bailey. Makaveli
I dont like that part about Ladell Betts missing meetings... Would trading him for a 2nd rounder be worth it?

TankRizzo
I forget where I saw it but I believe they said that the Redskins aren't interested in taking Winslow at #
JoeSkins
That would be the first I've heard of that, unless you're talking about Mark May's comment.
