Think about the claims Gillette is making with regards to the capabilities of this razor. You don't need to be a physicist to keep from becoming one of what I'm sure will be thousands of suckers. TheKurp Posted January 23, 2004 Share Posted January 23, 2004 Here's the deal on this "invention". The blade itself may very well deliver a superior shave; like the Mach3Turbo does over the Mach3. However, because the blade is proprietary, and only fits the M3 Power handle, you'll have to buy both to find out. Even if people discover that the M3 really does provide a closer shave, I have no doubt that the shave will be the same whether or not you put a battery in the handle. By the time the consumer "discovers" this, Gillette will have already made their 200% mark-up profit on the handle and the consumer will be bound to purchase the M3Power blades (which I'm sure provides significant profit to Gillette over the Mach3 and Mach3Turbo blades) so as not to feel like they threw money away on purchasing the M3Power handle.
