He's surrounding himself with quality and experienced coaches to "check" some of his decisions. In a year or two (as Gibbs becomes more comfortable in his new position), I wouldn't be surprised to see this coaching staff become smaller. Since they said their main focus is on completing the coaching staff before turning to evaluating players, I'm interested to know if Inmate's list from above has any more defensive names filled in yet.
