Moore Placed On IR; Daryl Terrell Re-Signed

By Gary Fitzgerald

The Redskins have decided to place center Larry Moore on injured reserve, ending his season. He had re-aggravated his sprained foot during last Sunday's game against the New York Giants.

The team re-signed offensive lineman Daryl Terrell to fill Moore's roster spot.

Moore first injured his foot in the Week 9 game versus Dallas. He sat out the next four games and returned in a backup role last Sunday.

Backup Lennie Friedman has started at center in Moore's place the last five games. He is expected to finish out the season as a starter.

Terrell, 6-4 and 327 pounds, signed briefly with the Redskins last week but was released prior to the Giants game. He spent last season with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the first three seasons of his career in New Orleans. In four NFL seasons, he has started 11 of 53 games.
