This is how Champ fared against #1 WR (bracket is #2/3 WR stats). Pretty impressive although did give up 2 TDs to Toomer and Keyshawn. However, opposite WR/TE have 9 TDs. Also, only 1 guy (Troy Brown) has > 5 receptions against Champ.

Now having WATCHed the game we can remember the atrocious play WHEN IT MATTERED most.

the defensive fouls that sustained drives; or directly led to points.

besides you must remember that we DON'T play Champ on the number one all the time..there is a liebral amount of zone covergae spiced in there more prequently. Evidenced most by the Panthers game. I am sure if Mushin Muhammad were in fact played in man coverage he would have half the catches.

but hey, Champ is a shutdown corner in Madden. That is really all that matters anyway.

This chart is seriously flawed. Champ didn't have Keyshawn hardly at all in the Tampa game. Keyshawn's touchdowns weren't against Champ. His catches came after Smoot went out for the most part and he burned, if you'll recall, Bowen on a LONG TD.

He also gave up a touchdown in man coverage to Hilliard in the first Giants game. He has not had just one receiver all game. Most of the big plays we've given up and the big interference calls we've given up have come directly against Champ.

A negative attitude, a seemingly me-first mind set, and poor play with the game on the line is of little value to the Redskins.
