"I don't know how he is right now," coach Jim Haslett said. "He's probably questionable." Brooks strained his knee against the Atlanta Falcons last week. He reinjured it early in the second quarter of Sunday's 33-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Brooks shared practice time with Todd Bouman last week because of the injury. Haslett said Bouman has been taking a lot of snaps with the first team lately. "It'll probably be the same amount" this week, Haslett said. Brooks' injury was among several from Sunday's game. Backup running back Ki-Jana Carter visited a foot specialist Monday afternoon and would possibly need surgery on his foot. "I don't know what you'd call it," Haslett said. "It's like turf-toe but something separated, two toes separated or two bones in there separated. I'm not really sure." James Fenderson, who has 14 yards on four carries, will back up Deuce McAllister against the Washington Redskins. "We'll probably bring a couple of running backs in and evaluate them," Haslett said. "See if there's anybody worth putting on the active roster." The Saints will probably be without return specialist Michael Lewis this week. He has a sprained right ankle. Receiver Donte' Stallworth, who missed the last two games, is doubtful this week with an ankle sprain. Cornerback Dale Carter is out after re-injuring his quad. Offensive lineman Kendyl Jaycox is still out with a knee injury.
