TK
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1661127 Jets sign receiver Lockett The Associated Press New York Jets: The Jets signed wide receiver Kevin Lockett on Thursday to help fill the void left when Wayne Chrebet went on injured reserve. Lockett, a seventh-year player from Kansas State, joins his fourth NFL team. He was a second-round choice of the Kansas City Chiefs in 1997, and also played for the Washington Redskins and Jacksonville Jaguars. In 84 career games with 10 starts, he has caught 125 passes for 1,661 yards and eight touchdowns. Chrebet will miss the season with post-concussion syndrome. The Jets placed the nine-year veteran on IR Wednesday but do not think his latest head injury is career threatening. Santana Moss and Curtis Conway will start at receiver, and the Jets also have inexperienced reserves in Jonathan Carter and Kevin Swayne. Philadelphia Eagles: Eagles offensive guard John Welbourn will miss two to three weeks after having surgery to repair torn cartilage in his right knee. Welbourn, who starts at left guard, had the surgery Wednesday in Colorado. A fourth-round pick, Welbourn is in his fifth season with Philadelphia. Artis Hicks will get his first start against the New York Giants. The Eagles also listed Pro Bowl cornerback Bobby Taylor as out for Sunday's game. Taylor has missed all but one game since sustaining a foot injury in the season opener.
