Brown, 45, a native and resident of Charleston who played at St. John's High School and South Carolina State, played seven years as a receiver with the Washington Redskins of the NFL and won two Super Bowls. Brown has worked as a wide receivers coach with three NFL teams, was the offensive coordinator at Benedict College and Mississippi Valley State, has coached at three high schools, and played a year in the Arena League after several years with the Redskins.
