First Gibbs I game

These are awesome...the things that stick out from this era: 

 

1) In comparison to the current game, the 1980s game was so slow and plodding. I probably prefer it simply because we excelled during that time period. But it absolutely brings a smile to my face. 

 

2) The broadcast is so simple with just occasional shots of the clock and even fewer shots of the score. In those days, you would turn on the game and watch it start to finish. With all the options now, networks have to have every metric on-screen so that they can inform viewers who are flipping through. 

 

Great memories with some of these games.

Add in the bigger shoulder pads, more total pads worn and jersey sleeves sticking out, even on the linemen. No first down yellow line also.
