The Cowboys compiled a season-low 178 yards, including only 60 yards on the ground. Quarterback Quincy Carter, who was 15-of-25 for 140 yards, was sacked four times, intercepted twice and fumbled once. With the exception of a handful of miscues, the Dallas defense held strong and kept the Cowboys in the game into the fourth quarter, but the offense was unable to establish any momentum. Five times on third-and-one or fourth-and-one, Dallas came up empty. Running back Troy Hambrick led the Cowboys in rushing with 25 yards on 11 carries.
